Sorry, I don't remember a lot of the dream - I just knew that I was with the folks here at the "Charismatic" subforum, and the two people I can see clearly in my mind's eye are Jason and Father Rick. Jason, you were a sort of man's man rugged looking guy, wearing faded blue jeans and a teeshirt, and your hair a bit thick and kind of shaggy, and Father Rick - well, you were wearing a white cassock and you had dark hair and a dark beard. I remember being soooooo glad you were there - and I think your wife was there too, actually.
I think the point of the dream was the variety of people who were there - I believe that is God's will for this subforum - to have a place for a variety of spirit-filled people who will walk in love and respect for one another, regardless of denomination or lack thereof.

I'm more of a day dreamer, but I've had some that I had to go find answers on. At the time I was going to a 7th day adventist church, which only lasted a couple of months till I got a job that made me work on saturdays.
The dream is too long to tell here ... but I told the pastor and I said, "I don't understand the dream"
He said that even Joesph and Daniel couldn't understand their own dreams, but they could understand the dreams of Kings.
He said, "Pray about what the dream means"
So I did and the Lord said to write it down as if it were a movie ... so I did, but it just sits here in my special file for projects unfinished.
I think your chicken represents our variety of people very well, but we will have to make it the unofficial mascot so to speak.
Right gang?

The mascot idea still kinda reminds me of the old Kellogg's "Corn Flakes" breakfast cereal logo...
But a healthy day starts with a healthy breakfast, so maybe we'll have an in-house, tongue-in-cheek, healthy mix of denominations mascot of a cereal chicken? :)

Please, don't anyone take this the wrong way. I LIKE the chicken, really, I do!

Tal,
Thanks for sharing that dream.
I'm not very active at CF. Although I've been a member for over 3 years I think, I don't post a lot. Despite this, I really felt that this sub-forum was something the Lord wanted. I didn't share that, while we were trying to get it approved, because it could have been misread, or seen as manipulative.
If you recall I was kind of instrumental in getting it approved. But I really felt the Lord was behind it. I am all for unity, and I love that the church is sooo diverse, yet felt the time was right for a "non-WoF" place. Within this forum I do hope that believers from all backgrounds find fellowship. Cool dream... :)

Thank you Simon for being led by the Lord to start this place ... I think it's the Lord too.
Yes notify me too about your website talitha ... I would like that, but I warn you I am a little leary of some people's dreams. So many are vain, but not yours of course. I find most dreams are just entertaining ...

Here's a dream for you ... This man is making a come back instead of a downfall:
Holmes: Dream led to decision to come back

RIVER FALLS, Wis. (July 29, 2007) -- Priest Holmes (http://www.nfl.com/players/playerpage/1645) says he fell asleep a week or so ago and awoke with a new purpose in life.
He dreamed he was playing football. Now, despite being out of the game since a brutal tackle in October 2005 aggravated a potentially dangerous spinal condition, Kansas City (http://www.nfl.com/teams/news/KC)'s career rushing leader is vowing to resume his once-outstanding career.
"In order for me to come back, it's going to require discipline, hard work, and determination," the always enigmatic three-time Pro Bowler said.
"One thing that's always been said: without struggle, there's no purpose. I definitely will struggle in the next four weeks to come back to the level in which you need in order to be back in pads."

It was easy for me to see, because I was a trainer in football.
I feel Preist Holmes pain ... he was hit so hard that he should have given up football,
but after sitting out the game he loves last year he had a dream, not a day dream, a
real dream where he saw himself playing football again.
Now he's ready to make a come back ... now he has the courage to play again.
It's a man thing, I guess ... :swoon:

I thought you were a little up tight when I said a lot of dreams are just for entertainment ... I didn't mean everyone.
I just meant me ... mine are entertaining.
But I guess the Lord doesn't agree I had a dream saturday night you see, right after I had posted
my feelings about dreams and it was definetly the Lord speaking to me.
I saw my son and my grandson digging into my computer for the hidden numbers in there that they could make
a profit off of ... Sober, sober ... time to hide my numbers better.
You see they're not Christians yet and it wouldn't bother them a bit to hack my computer.
So I'll have to re-think my position on this dream stuff.

I don't remember my dreams. DH dreams about his dad (who passed away 11 years ago) every now and again, which I think is God's way of letting DH know his dad is ok.

Typically I have what I describe as visions. A picture will pop into my head and then some thoughts will follow explaining what it means. I have however on a couple of occasions had prophetic dreams.

Man's man? Thanks, but not quite. :D
I am a jeans and t-shirt guy, but that's about it. I had a goatee for a short time, but am usually clean shaven. I would say my hair does get shaggy, but I usually cover that fact with a baseball-style cap. ;)
I do agree with you that it is God's will for us to have a place for a variety of Spirit-Filled Chritians to love and respect each other, regardless of denomination. :)
