I've heard from a number of conservative Christians who feel like they can't make this their "congregational" home. I've been one of them, but I don't want to be. It occurs to me that "conservative" comes in many shapes and flavors, and we're all looking around CF for a place to fellowship and discuss issues. I thought if I left it might help bring some peace around here -- I don't think I achieved that. I also thought that since I don't toe the "party line" that some may consider part of being conservative, that I didn't have a place here -- but it seems to me that a strict party line isn't going to work in a multi-denominational forum. So, I'm going to give this a try, because I'm so bold as to think I might have something to offer these discussions. If any of the other "exiles" are reading this, I hope you'll give it a try, too. This could be a nice home forum for those of us who spend much of our time around people who are more theologically liberal than ourselves. So... y'all might have to put up with me being around here after all. :D ;)

A big Happy Birthday
I only came back to CF after more than a month two/three days ago, so I don't know why you didn't want to make a home here.
But I am very glad you decided to come back, we will all never agree, but we hopefully agree on some main things. We are from various denominations and from no denomination. We are never going to come up with a specific "conservative" definition.
This forum is just evolving.
So glad for everyone here and glad you have decided to come back!

As I said in your other thread you are more than welcome here. There is no possible way we can all agree on every single theological or political issue and just be "conservative". Some room for disagreement must be allowed.
Glad you are back and hope you stick around!

You must put your feet up and make this your home
I didn't get online all day yesterday. How is/was your birthday?
It's still your birthday for half an hour :D Fun fun!!

Actually, by my clock, it's still my birthday for another hour and 8 minutes. ;)
It's been pretty uneventful.
