Right now we are revamping the rules for this part of the Forum. We need to anyways. So what ever suggestions you have are welcome. I recommend more get involved however and debate their Ideas. This will give the rule makers a broader understand of the needs of this section.

I thought that was the point of all the polls and threads we have been seeing here lately. Not sure why we need another thread on the topic.

Those were polls with certain topics. Now we need a thread that move on its own.

Hmm, according to your profile you joined the day after the new rules began 7/8/07. What makes you so qualified and knowledgeable about this site? Are you one of the "socks" they were talking about?

I saw the site you listed as your synagogue belonging to http://www.iamcs.org/WhatWeBelieve.php
and it looks nice and it does not list keeping kosher as a qualification for membership.

Even as an outsider, this was my understanding exactly.

I am actually real, not a Sock account.

Now to the main issue: My congregation keeps everything Kosher. We don't even allow Pork into our homes. I however need your prayer support as my Mother and Father are not Kosher and need to move out ASAP.

But as someone (MessianicJewishGuy) who just joined the day after the new rules started, he wants to tell someone who was an ex-moderator of this forum with roughly 5 thousand posts (me) that I am "lost" here in this forum.

But, as a bit of personal advice:
I however need your pray support as my Mother and Father are not Kosher and need to move out ASAP.
When someone turns 23, they are allowed to go get a job in order to pay for their own place. I pray that you have the wisdom to apply for a job.

Who is moving - you or them?
Are you moving strictly because of the food issue?
Are you a student or do you have a job?
Can you afford to move out on your own?

1) I want to move.

2) My father is sick in the head to say it nicely. My mother is Catholic.

3) That is what prayer support is.

No back to the main issue. I recommend that that profile pages of everyone coming to this section to be in accordance with Biblical wholesomeness.

I don't really think a profile should be under consideration when postiong, it is merely a little glimpse into someone's personal life. As well, that certainly isn't what is up for discussion right now.

Than give some input. Such as what do you think the rules should be?

It is Biblical to honor your father and mother.

I agree that profiles should not have anything to do with who can post. However, it seems a bit odd to me that someone who just joined the day after the new rules began and is brand new to this forum should be one who is trying to be a part of creating the new rules.

Should there be a time limit that someone should have to belong to the forum before being allowed to vote on things? That might take care of the whole "sock" issue.

Why in the world would there be forum rules about profiles?

Isn't that already in the sticky titled prepoll dialogue number 3? http://www.christianforums.com/t5669801-prepoll-dialogue-3-alot-to-chew-on.html
or is it in #5? http://www.christianforums.com/t5669803-prepoll-dialogue-5-the-safety-net-our-fsrsour-absolutes.html
and I thought he was asking about forum rules not profile rules

Maybe I wasn't clear enough. I said this is so people can say what ever they want.

This is a nice effort, but we do have many threads already stickied for these conversations of rules.
