In fact, every "Jew" here that I know is of the peaceful sort... Talmidah, Chava, etc. None of them are prone to argument.
my 2 shekels.
You've obviously not met that Yafet guy. :P
Actually, I suspect the two you mentioned don't have as much concern for having any control over this forum as is being placed on "The JOOOOS!" lately.

Heh, you obviously don't know me very well :D
Although I do manage to control myself here...;)

Getting bored is Adonai's way of teaching us good manners when we do go visiting.
I dunno, Tal......boredom makes me mean & grumpy, kind of like a bear issuing out of its cave in the spring! :D :D :D

That is very sweet. Although, to be honest, a forum with just people like me, Chava, and s_t would get kind boring quite quickly.
Well I for one would be up for keeping it lively and interesting.... ;)

I'm going to agree with ChavaK here...
There is great disparity and argumentation within the MJ community. In fact, every "Jew" here that I know is of the peaceful sort... Talmidah, Chava, etc. None of them are prone to argument.
my 2 shekels.
Hmm.... I dunno about "peaceful." We haven't really met yet. So you might want to reserve that judgment until later... ;)

this poll is closed why?
if it is faultless and closed because time ran out then I think we have our consensus folks
I will ask Zayit to add this to our Wiki , I will stick it up in the forum and we are closer to being done with our forum politics:swoon:^_^
any last calls complaints or comments?

The only way a poll can be closed is by automation, that being a date preselected for it to end, or a mod closed the poll manually which I don't think happened.
So Tish, what's the verdict?
Option 3 & 7 ?
Messianics, Jews and a list of approved Christians. - 9
Now is this posters or who can debate? Because according to the new rule ( well, yesterdays) we weren't allowed to keep anyone out, only to limit what they could or could not talk about, or debate.
1.4 Subforums and Congregational Areas
1.4 No forum (with the exception of the teen forums) will restrict entry or participation based upon a member's religious beliefs or lack thereof. Members are expected to obey all of a sub-forum’s rules while posting there. Each forum is empowered to elect their own moderators and to establish their own rules regarding decorum, acceptable subject matter for posting, as well as who may participate in voting and/or their rules-making process. Congregational Forums may limit debate to members of their own denomination, insist that all posts conform to their creed, or bar guests from editing their forum-specific wiki. This will allow congregational forums to remain safe havens if they so desire.
Seems we can only draw limitations on who can mod, vote on polls and change our wiki, but not who can post. :)

Well remember that confusing part of the wiki I added (hehehe I admit I stink at Wiki^_^Editing) well setting limitations on what debate is for us would be a good idea like for instance we already have limits on prostlitising away from Christianity so the Jews couldnt seek to post threads that were designed to pull us away from Yeshua into Judiasm...soooooo I think we need to also define what soft debate is......BUT we can add this to the Wiki and then Sticky it in the Forum as a FSR for sure right now, and then add on our definition of soft debate later....
We can start discussing soft debate also in a new thread, who want to start it? , leave a link here who ever starts it ok?

BTW, did you see the two polls I started? One about a name change because of all the posting I have seen on the other polls in here, and the other on if we should split the forum. If we do, then what we decide for debating rules could be quite different.
I'm thinking open debate allowed between Messianics ( which includes Messianic Christian and NT Messianics) and Jews on pretty much anything, but not teaching that Messiah hasn't come, they can debate their knowledge of it, but not teach for a fact he hasn't. And in the Orthodox forum only debate between Torah Observant Messianics and Jews.
I really don't have an exact outline, but then again I am only going on 3 hours sleep today so bear with me.:swoon:

So Sis Go To Bed Please:hug:

i'll try once again to convince you that you are wanted... by saying this:
you are.
that's me being honest from my heart.
but like the last time you and Talmidah wanted to leave, it might not be enough. please stay and just be you :)
Thanks! When I saw the changes in posting regulations
I decided to give the forum another chance...as of now I
am reserving judgement whether or not it will be
worthwhile to stay here....

I just don't see it as a big deal. I left for a while, then when Talmidah told me about the changes I came back to take a look. If I end up leaving again... no big deal. I have 3 other forums that I'm active in.
