The TAW and Apostolic Churches applicant said he's willing to do SDA, also. What is the next step to bringing him on?

SDA doesn't have its forum-specific rules finalized yet, just a temporary set of rules similar to the old rules. They haven't determined the criteria for selecting mods yet, either, so they're nowhere near ready to accept new mods. They haven't even decided if they are going to require all of their mods to be SDA. (I'm not in favor of that since it's hard to find enough mods to fill all of the congregational forums with only staff of that denomination.) I'm afraid that rule-making is a very contentious process there, and they have resorted to voting on every little thing that is added to the wiki, which will take a long time.

Well, I've been TRYING to get a transfer in, for a few days, now!:) you boys are pure sunshine:hug::hug:

The TAW and Apostolic Churches applicant said he's willing to do SDA, also. What is the next step to bringing him on? once he gets trained we can approach SDA's member with the possibility that he may be just what they need, by then they may be ready....Would anyone in TAW like to train him? let Christian 73 know and CC me so I know too BTW all the mod apps once they are accepted are in the ET reports archive if your looking for them ok

1. Who can apply for Mod? Multiple choice and Viewable answers
and then just list the best things you can think of for SDAs for Moding....
2. Who is a Voting Member?
again Multiple choice with viewable answers and list who should be considered a voting member in SDA
3. Who can post unrestricted in SDA?
list those groups who seems to be family or kin in there even if they are not SDA they add to the place without being members they bring life in there... and example for MJs were Jews and NT(Non Trinitarian)MJs they are a part of us and as long as they dont teach against MJ doctrine we welcome them as such (not voting members maybe but definitely posting like one)

three Multiple choice/viewable answers polls for 2 weeks and then post the results in the wiki and your ready to open mod apps:thumbsup: then adopt these site wide suggestions untill you can iron out your own later.... or you can by pass the poll and add what you think are good for each of these questions/headings in the wiki and pray they get approval and not contested, if they do get contested , start a poll then.....does that make sence?

They have started polls already on some of these things, and the others will be addressed soon. They have decided to leave each poll open for four days. Right now, they are focusing on making the FSRs, and until that's done, I don't think there's any way that they will agree on mod requirements. It may take some time before they are ready to accept new mods, but they'll get there eventually. :)

I think the mod app has been removed because we're not going to use it anymore. See this thread (http://www.christianforums.com/t5746767-reopen-mod-apps-see-protocol-and-procedure-here.html) for the temporary procedures that have been put in place. The problem is that many of the congregational forums haven't yet decided how they are going to elect mods or what the eligibility requirements will be.

We need a Wiki for ET for Mod apps anyone want to work on one? We can have sample questions in there and separate guidlines for both applying and voting in there along with our FSR wiki links to each forums that has one.....its a big job who is up for it?

any other ideas for that ET wiki can be added here too

1. Guidlines for applying
2.Guidlines for Voting

*note that each forum applying and voting in Apps have their own FSRs and a quick link to these would be great if its possible

3. Sample Application or sample Questions

We can use the other teams Mod App Wikis for help and also the temporary guidelines in the OP till we get going with ours

We are in great need of Mods so we may have to get this up even before our forums are ready :tutu::tutu:

Who would like to tackle this ?

Forums get your FSRs for Mod Apps and Voting ready ASAP ok?

A breakthrough in the SDA forum! the fighting has slowed down to a crawl, they have nominated three from among them to stand for election. The voting will commence by tomorrow evening.

Oh go on then! I'll have a crack at it!

I also put up stickies in all six of my forums inviting people to submit themselves for election, so to speak. Well, it's a start, isn't it!

I posted something in the wiki about interview questions in the Q&A threads. I have some concerns about using some of the questions from the old mod app.
