So it seems that Drew Carey has been chosen to replace Bob Barker as host.

Good choice? Bad Choice? Undecided?

Being appointed successor to a cultural icon would be tough. I suppose Drew would do as well as anyone.

I stopped caring when Rod Roddy died. I don't just mean about the show, I mean about everything.

Drew Carrie would not seem to fit the show, IMO. He will take it in a new direction and it will fail, which may be a good thing, cause I always thought that Bob Barker WAS the Price is Right. Without him, the show should stop. It would be like Match Game without Gene Rayburn:eek:

Look how great millionaire without Regis is doing:P, to me, not so good:doh:

Do you think they'll finally update the set from that 60's look?

I object to Novus Ordo Price is Right! ;) Bring back the Traditional Bob Barker Price is Right (or TBBRIR for short). ;) Is nothing sacred any more? ;)

Actually, truth be told, I don't really care for game shows. :) I find Jeopardy somewhat watchable, but that's about it. I don't think I've even ever seen a full episode of "The Price is Right", so I can't really comment on it in a serious way, though I did enjoy Drew Carey's work on "The Drew Carey Show". Drew Carey seemed such a natural to play Drew Carey, almost as if he'd been born for the role. ;)

I like Drew's work on Whose line is it anyway. Why can't americans appreciate improv?!

The nauseating 60's colors go along with wanton consumerism, no?:D

Noone can replace Bob Barker. That said, Drew Carey isn't the best choice. They need to find someone unknown.

Then again, the show is nothing more than a series of mini-commercials... and they still take breaks for full-length commericals.

Why don't they just end the show? Hasn't it been on long enough? Like 30 years or something?

They could have gotten Louie Anderson for the job. He's not doing Family Feud anymore.
