I didn't miss it ... my photoshop skills aren't so good.

How about a cross with a small heart where the heart should be on the cross.

Wooden cross ... red heart.

I think that would be too close to a Catholic symbol. I forget its name, but it sounds like what you're describing, and might get confusing to some.

Its meant to be fire in the background then the cross and a blue dove to represent water and the spirit.

I don't want to be known as anything but Christian with my preference of worship being a charismatic church with nonwof belief's. There are a lot of things WOF believes that I might believe too. However there seems to be more like VINEYARD that I do believe in and can totally relate to Jimbeaux when he posts. Course you'll fit in NewSong, The Icon really came about because there are some people who would like one, Its really a matter of personnel choice which Icon you choose to display and it doesn't bother me whether you have one or not.

No promises as to how they might turn out, still sussing out how to do it myself.

Matches New Songs avatar, but the dove is hiding the cross to me.

Most every other faith icon at CF is 15x15, give or take a pixel or 2. That was one of the most challenging aspects for me when I designed the WoF icon, was making it small enough for the size requirements, while still maintaining a level of clarity.

Well, not really...

Like I said, making the icon 15x15 is not conducive to having a clear image. It took me weeks to formulate the WoF design, as simple as it looks, to make it small and crisp.

We came up with some pretty cool looking icons (check out my avatar, which was one of the ideas), but by the time we'd get them sized down, they just looked like mush.

All I can say is, good luck! It was not easy making such a small, detailed icon look crisp.

My favorite song is, "At the Cross" can you believe I actually made fun of this song when I first heard it, now it's one of my favorites.

It's at the cross is just repeated over and over several times till the joy ofthe Lord is in your heart.

That's the whole song ...

How about WOF's shield with just a cross ... same theme, same colors, just a cross without the dove.

Jesus knows what He likes, right?

I've looked at all your comments and checked through the faith Icons and some of them are 24 pixels in height so what I propose to do is this

I'll take this basic design http://www1.christianforums.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=104670As it seems crisp and clear, and combine it

with this design http://www1.christianforums.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=104749 So basically what i hope to end up with is a ball of fire a cross and the original dove in blue.

I like having FIRE on it! ;) that's why I like that one. Not sure about a fire ball - it might just look like an orange Nerf ball.....

I don't see a blue dove, though, on my screen - I see a white dove with some blue on its back - which is why I asked about the symbolism.....

maybe there is something compressed on my end....

Just a thought Flaglady but are there four colours that represent characteristics of the Holy Spirit then we could have the shield in black with the four colours one in each section

Thanks JAS. :) What happened is I am subscribed to SFP/C so when that comes up I dont know what forum it is before clicking it and it never mattered before. .Bummer, I'll have to check it after each click now.

I'm charismatic, but I never roasted a dove over an open fire like that. I like the one with the globe more. It gives the image of the Holy Spirit working around the entire globe.
