ACtually they have changed into guidelines, though updated with the most of the changes requested.
I don't think we are doing the wiki thing anymore. When more information comes to us about doing the guidelines and what is okay and what is not, then we can go from there.

I just want to say in my own defense, just in case anyone does notice and thinks it is anything other, I always capitalize the word "Word", when I am referencing the Word of God, to differentiate God's Word from any other word.
I would also like to point out that yes Jesus IS "the Word of God, made flesh". So, I'm not sure why it seems to be a big deal, as Jesus is the Word of God and always was the Word of God, before He was incarnate in a human body. (John 1:1, John 1:14) But no one that I know of has ever placed the Bible on an altar and began praying to it or bowing down to it or anything lol.
There is a definite distinction, between holding the Bible up as the absolute authority of our faith and worshiping it AS Jesus.^_^
Nevertheless, I personally don't have a problem with the change being made to give the word "word" a lower case W.
I just wanted to explain that I always capitalize the word Word, when referring to the Word of God, to differentiate God's Word over any other word or words. I also doubt seriously that the person who wrote it up, did so with any other intention in mind.
God bless
I had a bit of a qualm with the 4th portion of the statement of faith:
We believe that all the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the Word of God, fully inspired and without error in the original manuscripts, and that they are the infallible rule of faith and practice.
it seems odd that we would require people to declare that they believe Scripture to be The Word of God, when scripture states that Jesus is the Word of God. I think this is just a language issue, and maybe rewording the statement might be of better effect, because I'm fairly certain that most people wont say that scripture is Jesus. I'm also at a bit of a loss as to why this would even be a deciding factor on whether people should be able to join the Non-denom believers list.
Also: I haven't read through all the last 25 pages posts so if this is something that has already been addressed feel free to thump me on the head all good like :)

because there's a debate on whether the bible is the Word of God, since scripture never claims itself to be that (Like I said a debate) I didn't want to get into it here, and rather than bring up the issue, and to conform to a middle-ground I suggested that it be changed .
on that issue:
I consider claming it as the Word of God to be borderline equivalent to claiming it to be dinity. (The Word made Flesh is a reference to 'Logos' not scripture).
If you'd like to hear more about this discussion I'm sure we can make a thread up on the non-denom thread, but I'd rather not have the discussion in this forum since it's specifically for discussion of the forums rules. (Unless we are supposed to discuss it here?)
