Praise the Lord!!! That is excellent news, Lisa! I will continue to pray for Jacob and his whole family.
Do you know if he's being kept heavily sedated, or if he is on a lot of heavy-duty pain meds? I know my husband's friend was kept in a medically induced coma for several weeks following his (very bad) motorcycle accident. I'm just wondering if the reason it's hard for him to stay awake is due to all the meds he's on? Still that's a very encouraging thing! Even if he is on meds it means he is "fighting"!!! :)

My wife is getting a biopsy tomorrow; prayers appreciated.
I'm sorry to hear that Mr. Jim! I will be praying for you wife, and you as well -- for the Lord to comfort both of you and give you calm in the midst of your fears and worry.
I will also pray for her doctors and for the lab techs -- that they will be guided by the Lord and that He will grant them wisdom and show them everything they need to see!

The procedure went well and while she was pretty nervous about it all she said it was really nothing.
She read through this entire prayer thread last night, thought it was neat she was getting international prayer support.
She has a black mole on her chest that the MD was concerned about~sent her to a specialist and he took the biopsy. She goes back on 9/25 or so to have stitches removed and get pathology report.
 to all

I'll continue to keep her in my prayers. I'm glad the procedure wasn't too traumatizing. She must be very brave (and have a wonderful husband for support). I would be terrified.

Ok all, tis I again...asking for prayers. This time not for me, though.
My IRL best friend's husband is up for promotion, and list will be out soon. They are a wonderful Christian family, and he really deserves this. USMC promotions can be frustrating, because no matter how hard you work, you only get one chance a year to get promoted once you get past E-5. Some people have to wait a really long time, and this guy is one of them. Please pray for this family. :prayer: :prayer: :prayer:

Father God, thank You for being here today. You know the needs of everyone within CC, and outside of it. You are such a good God, and Your hand is on everything, so I ask that You bring comfort, relief and reassurance to those who need it.
Thank You, Lord, for saving us all, and for loving us all. Such a quick prayer, but I don't have many words at the moment. You see into our hearts, though, and You know what people need so they can raise their hands to You in joyful worship.
In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Lord, I lift Adiya up to You and ask that You guard her heart. Father, wipe the pain from her spirit, and revive her soul. Lord, free everyone from the bondage of anger, and accusation and fill their hearts with love. Please, Lord, fill them all with love, and comfort. Wrap Your arms around them all, and breathe new life into them. Give us all new life, Father God. Teach us how to glorify You, and serve You; keep us from doing harm to one another, and to You. Be with us all, Lord, as we all stumble and struggle; some suffering, some causing suffering; all Your children.
Thank You, Lord, for Your never-ending love and care. You created us in love, and we worship You. Thank You thank You thank You, Lord.

Ok guys, we need some big time prayers here right now.
I work at a large high school A student over the weekend was in a bad car accident over the weekend and is clinging to life. Please pray for this young man and his family. It isn't looking good. My daughter is very upset, as he is in her grade. It is literally a minute by minute situation at this point. Begging for prayers.
UPDATE: He had to have more emergency surgery, and apparently they were unable to relieve some swelling. He has had a series of strokes. This boy is only 17 and has a twin brother. It isn't looking good, at this point.

Hi Tange. I hadn't posted this, and I should have. He is on life support at this time, and his parents have given it a specific amount of time, and if there is no change, they will disconnect. I spoke about this in the tough questions thread, because I truly don't know how to feel about this. Of course, it matters not at all how I feel, but this boy is the same age as my daughter, and it scares me. It terrifies me to think that, as a parent, I would have to make this decision. I feel so bad for this family. I can't imagine, can't even fathom what they are going through.
I've said about a million rosaries for them. :sigh:

Dear Lord,
Tonight there is a spirit of hurt, anger, and mistrust. Please help us to know that we have a promise from you that ALL things work for the good of them that love YOU! We love you, Lord Jesus. Please, please surround us with your love and protection tonight. Comfort those who are hurting. Surround them with peace and love. Please help this young boy and the family. Receive Him into your loving arms in this life or the next. Help this family make this terrible decision and fill them with peace about it.
The powers of darkness are curious about us tonight. Please protect us from evil and be with us always. Let our words be such that the power of the Cross on which you died shields us from this worshiper of death and destruction. Let this forum be filled with the Holy Spirit and drive out the darkness. Let the darkness see the light that shines within this forum and let that precious soul be delivered into your everlasting love and salvation.
Thank You Lord for all you have done for us. Thank you for the love that fills this tiny corner bringing people from all walks of life into perfect harmony with one another. Help us to be the beacon of light, laughter, love, and TRUTH in this forum. Help us to never compromise or deny your name.
In Jesus Holy and Precious Name I pray, Amen.

Oh no!!! I'm so sorry to hear that! That has got to be the most horrible thing to have to go through to lose a child. And I really feel for his twin too! I've heard that's especially hard on the surviving twin... So incredibly sad.
My prayers continue for this family and everyone whose lives were touched by this young man!!! Prayers for you as well -- it's never easy to deal with the death of ANY child... I'm also of course praying for a MIRACLE if there is a chance -- it is God's to do! :) If not then there is a reason he has been called home at this time -- not that it makes it any easier for those who are left grieving!!!

Quick prayer request! My daughters are walking home from the library right now, and there is a bad storm brewing... It's just started lightening and sprinkling, but it sure looks nasty out. Please pray that my daughters are SMART and take cover until the storm passes a little!!! I tried calling the library but they must have already left... I hope they have the presence of mind to call me if they are stuck somewhere. Please just pray for God to send his angels to protect them as they make their way home!!! I worry so much, even though my oldest will be 16 in December and my littlest didn't go with -- so they are 15, 13, and 11 (tomorrow!) traveling in a group through this nasty T-Storm!!!
OK, I could keep rambling, but it would make me even more nervous than I am!!! I need to pray and hand this over to God. I guess this is one of those "separation" tests we mothers have to go through as they get older!!! :sigh: :praying:

The boy that was in the accident has been declared brain dead. His family is taking some time to say their goodbyes, and then, they will shut of the machines and leave it to God.
Please pray for this family. My heart just aches for them at this time. No parent should have to bury a child. :crossrc: :sigh: :crossrc:How heartbreaking. Praying for the family.

:sigh: :praying:I hope they made it home ok?
I have a major decision to make. Please pray that I make the right one.

I'm so sorry not to have gotten back to this thread this afternoon!!! My silly, silly, girls walked home in the middle of the storm and showed up looking like drowned rats on the doorstep about 20-30 minutes after I posted my request! They are safe and sound, and I thank the Lord they didn't get hurt -- it was VERY bad for a while there, and they got a little talking to about the danger of being outside in a storm like that. You teach and teach and sometimes they listen and sometimes it seems as if you've never said a word!!!
Well, anyway.. All is well in my house, and I really do appreciate everyone's prayers. Yep, being a mother is a hard job, especially when you get to this stage where you need to trust in them and trust in the Lord to help them make the right decisions -- which they are obviously not always going to do!!! LOL
Thanks again everyone! God bless you all! :)

Lord, please hold this precious son in Your arms.
Protect him from attack, Father, strengthen and bless him in every part of his life.
Lord, guide him in Your perfect plan for him. Provide for all his needs, Lord, give him all he needs and more.
And give him Your peace Father - let him know beyond any shadow of doubt that God is for him - so nothing can stand against him.

Hi folks. I just wanted to update you on Nick (the boy in the coma).
They took him off ventilators today, and he passed away 20 minutes later. He was only 17. Today is going to be a very difficult day at school. I work at my daughter's high school, and this boy was very well-liked. He leaves behind a twin brother and his parents. I pray that this family finds some peace down the road, and I am asking that we all pray that they are able to make it through this nightmare with the help of God's love.

Hubby woke up with pain in his chest again this morning. We don't think it's serious, but the doctor just called us back, and I'll be taking him to the ER in a minute just to be on the safe side of things. Please do me a favor and say a quick prayer the this is nothing serious! (He did quit smoking 2 months ago, so we are hoping it's just something related to his quitting, but it is rather odd because he didn't have the pain BEFORE he quit!).
Ok, I'm just waiting for him to get dressed, so I probably won't be able to reply to this! Thanks everyone! I will post when we return just to let everyone know what's up... Thank you!

Thank you so much for all your prayers... I have good news & bad news... but mostly good news all things considered!
They assumed it was his heart when we got to the ER as protocol of course with chest pains. ( He will be 37 soon, so young, but it's not unheard of!). He said it felt like there was a 20lb. weight on his chest, but he was not having any trouble breathing. (A word of warning to you guys out there! PLEASE don't try to be so dang BRAVE!!! My hubby was in pain for the last 4-5 days and brushed it off before this morning when it got a lot worse and it finally prompted him to call the doctor who said get to the ER RIGHT AWAY!)
OK, so they hook him up to all the machines, put in an IV, ran an EKG, chest films, and took a whole mess of blood for every test under the sun it seemed!!! The EKG came back normal, but the doctor was still concerned that he may have had a mild heart attack so we had to wait for the blood tests to rule that out.
About an hour later the doctor came back in and said that the results of the blood tests were in and that my husband has Pancreatitis. The levels aren't astronomical, and he is only having a couple symptoms right now, so they are unsure of what is causing it.
They then took him for a CT scan to take a look at the pancreas itself... It is not displacing any organs, so if it is swelling it's minor at this point. Since my husband doesn't drink at all the doctor is thinking this MAY be a virus or something which would be the best case scenario at this point (80% of cases of pancreatitis occur due to heavy drinking/alcoholism and in those cases it is NOT a good prognosis as it's sort of like Cirrhosis of the Liver... ).
OK, so since his levels were not astronomically high, and since he wasn't in a tremendous amount of pain, no fever, chills, etc.. they let him come home tonight as long as he promised not to eat anything fatty or salty right now.
He will return to the hospital ASAP if the symptoms worsen or if he develops any kind of a fever, chills, or a couple other things I can't recall right now (Have to check that discharge sheet once I'm done with this post! ;) ).
Tomorrow morning the internist that is filling in for our regular doctor will be calling us to tell us when to come in to see him tomorrow for more blood tests, as well as some repeat tests to make sure this is not getting worse. They think he will have to have these daily blood tests for a while until the levels go back to normal. It's kind of a wait and see type thing at this point... We are all hoping he has come through the worst part over the last few days and that this is not the beginning of something more serious.
Thank you for listening to me write all this out -- I know it is long. I think it has helped me right now to be able to write it out and remind myself of the GOOD parts of his diagnosis at this point! He is resting comfortably right now with a prescription for some strong pain killers (the doc didn't believe my husband when he said that the pain was mild, and neither do I!!! Another warning to you men out there -- it's not a good idea to try to "suck it up" because it can cause problems when you keep yourself in pain! It's better to let them help you out with pain so your body can relax and work on healing you!!! OK, this also replies to those tough women out there with a high threshhold for pain -- I guess really it's not just men who do this! It's always better to be safe than sorry when it comes to telling your doctors how you feel!!!)
Thanks also for letting me vent. I'm trying not to be angry with my husband right now for waiting a week to see the doctor (he did this with his back too!!!) Anyway, he doesn't need the stress of hearing me complain to him right now, so I really appreciate being able to come here and let my frustration serve as a warning to others!!! Don't be SILLY when you are hurting!!!
OK, well that's all for now. Continued prayers are very much appreciated for my husband's healing and for comfort from our Lord for myself and my daughters -- who are naturally worried about their daddy! (My eldest even called her Grandma while we were gone because she was so worried! She's almost too smart for her own good, and when I called her to let her know we were going to be a longer time at the hospital and I told her what was wrong, she went and looked it up in the Merck Manual and freaked herself out!!! She knows a lot, but not enough sometimes to get the full picture -- so prayers for her are appreciated as well! She did a wonderful job looking after her sisters, and until we know what's up I will need to rely on her a bit to take care of her sisters and such while I take hubby to the doctor's office...)
OK, again I am sorry this post is SO LONG!!! I'll end it here! Thanks for listening everyone!

God bless all of you!

I feel that we are under spiritual attack right now. GM made a point of this in the staff forum and I think we need to be in prayer as well.
We've been dealing with spiritual darkness on this board for quite some time, but specifically the last month or so. It's tearing us all up and peace is destroyed because of it. I'm sick of it! And the only way to combat it is through prayer. Not just for the few who have been targeted the past week or so...but for every single person here.
Pray for unity. Pray for peace. Pray for deliverance. Pray for us all to show each other love and understanding.
We don't all agree on everything. That's life...go figure! But we do agree on the One who gives us this life. Let's pray.:groupray:
Father in heaven, I come to you in Jesus name. Lord You know what it is we are battling here today and Lord I know you have already given us victory over it! Thank You for making a way. Thank You for your Grace & Mercy. Thank You for driving away the darkness. Holy Spirit I pray that You would encompass our hearts, melt away the hardness and the unforgiveness. Please help us not to be so critical and ugly towards each other. Give us Your perfect peace that casts out all fear. Thank You Lord that You are in control and have a plan for all of us in our lives. Your an awesome God, I love You! I worship only You Jesus because You are worthy and deserve all Glory and Honor. In Jesus holy and precious name, amen.

Lord, fill us with Your love, for You and for one another.
Show us the meaning of th eministry of recnciliation, Father - let this be known as a place of peace and not of contention.
Give us the discernment to stand against the enemy, not against our brothers and sisters.
And protect this place from attack, Father, hold each one here in Your loving embrace, shelter us from attack, and strengthen us in Your grace.
Thank You for Your incredible love, Lord, thank You for never letting us go whatever the circumstances.
Amen.

Lord, we come before you with sorrow, anger, and disappointment in our hearts. The community we are a part of at this site, and many of the friends we have come to love are under attack by virtue of our love and obedience to You. We pray that you would send your angels to fight against those who are perpetrating these evils -- causing damage, anger and spite to form in our midst. We also ask you to send your angels to surround those people who are specifically under attack right now, so that they may be protected from those who wish to do them, and us all harm. Lord God, please protect the innocent people who come here to learn more about You and your son Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior from falling into the snares that have been laid around this site now... Please Lord, help us to fight against the forces of evil who have risen up to cause strife, anger, and hurt within this community. Please Lord show us your mercy by helping us to combat against this evil whether it be contained in human flesh, or if it is indeed Satan's demons who are organizing and delighting in this attack. You have promised, and we truly believe that You are the King of Kings! You alone are the Lord of Lords! and in your presence evil cannot stand. We ask you to come among us here, now, today, and we ask you to please assist your faithful followers as we prepare for battle in your name. We may not be taking up swords, but rather we will be using our keyboards, our rosaries, our prayer beads, or simply falling on our hands and knees and praying, but we still need your help Lord -- for we cannot overcome these things alone. We thank You for the blessings you continue to show us daily, and we thank You for watching over us, and being there for us, no matter what! We pray this in the name of your son Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior! Amen.

Praise the Lord, I have some good news to share!
We visited with the doctor today who figured out what was causing the chest pain my husband was experiencing. It seems that the cartilige joints that attach the ribs to the sternum are sore which is causing the pain in his chest. So, we are grateful that the doctor was able to set our minds at ease regarding the pain.
Another issue my husband was worried about (a bulge in his abdomen) turns out to be an unfortunate side effect from his abdominal muscles weakening while he was laid up with his back. This kind of thing usually affects older people, but can be hereditary as well. It is nothing serious though and should have no effect on his health in the future, either...
As for the Pancreatitis... We are cautiously optimistic given the fact that he is not experiencing any abdominal pain right now. More blood tests were taken today to rule out the possibility that it is progressively worsening (which usually happens within 24 hours). We will find out the results of today's blood tests tomorrow, and as long as the enzyme levels have either stabilized, and/or lowered we will be able to follow-up again with more tests next week. There is some concern that something he experienced last February that was diagnosed as an intestinal bacterial infection might have actually been a case of acute Pancreatitis that was overlooked/mis-diagnosed. However, as of right now he is NOT experiencing abdominal pain so that is a VERY good sign...
The doctor has also said that if the tests come back good he will be able to return to work tomorrow which is a great relief as we were just catching up from his being off for 6 months with his back...
My whole family thanks you for your prayers, and we greatly appreciate your continued prayers as well!
Thank you Lord for watching over my husband and my entire family. Lord, please abundantly bless my friends here who have prayed to you on our behalf. They are a great blessing to me! I pray this in the name of Jesus Christ, your son, my Lord and Savior... Amen.

More good news to share!!! PRAISE THE LORD!!!
The blood tests taken yesterday show the levels to be down 10 whole points! They are still well above normal, but on a downward trend which is VERY good!!! My husband is still non-symptomatic from the pancreatitis so that is even BETTER news!
Praise the Lord our God for he truly works miracles! For my husband NOT to be in pain right now with the pancreatitis is amazing, and a HUGE blessings. As is the chest pain that brought him into the ER in the first place. We cannot figure out how he could've possibly hurt his ribs as he is still not allowed to lift anything over 20 lbs. from his back surgery?!?! Perhaps this was God's way of getting him to go to the doctor, and showing us something was wrong in another area!!! (God surely knows how stubborn my hubby is!)
Well, anyway your continued prayers that the downward trend continues till he is back to normal is appreciated! We will be going in for follow-up tests with his normal doctor this coming Monday...
Thank you so much for all of your prayers!
God bless all of you!

I can't go into details, but I would like to request prayers for my ex-sister-in-law and most especially her two young children who have been taken into foster care... Also prayers for those of us who know her, and are very hurt by what has happened would be appreciated. It is very hard to find forgiveness as these problems have occurred before. Please pray that the judge and her case workers make the right decisions so as to not put her children back into jeopardy. There is not much I can do as these children are not related to me (she remarried). Please also pray for her older son, my nephew, who is no doubt having a hard time dealing with this... It even made the TV news here and I was completely broadsided by this tonight. I can't imagine what her son must be feeling (his father has custody of him). Thank you all so much...
This has not been an easy week for me, but I know God is watching over all of this, and everything happens for a reason, even if we don't know what that reason is. I'm grateful to know that at least for now I no longer have to worry about these young children as they are being cared for -- well, I hope...

Take away the upset, the hurt, the fear, and wrap all Your children in Your love. We can't do anything without You, Lord. But You can work in any situation, You can bring peace, reconciliation and joy. Your people need You, Lord. Please.
in the name of Jesus
Amen

Please pray for me. I suffer from clinical depression and it is mostly controlled. I feel worse today that I have in a long, long time. Hard to explain and many have reached out to me in PM, but I can barely even respond. For me, anger, even justifiable anger as I felt on Moriah's behalf, always turns inward. I am having a very, very bad day. I really need prayers from all of you.
Lisa
You have my prayers, Lisa!!!
I suffer from Depression as well, so I can definitely empathize with you -- especially the feeling of not wanting to respond or do anything. And, the anger thing -- I get the same way sometimes! If ever want to talk, just let me know... :)

As a former foster child myself, I understand somewhat just how frightened and alone these babies feel. You have my prayers for all involved. In fact today my character is wearing tears just for them.

Thank you so much Granny! I really appreciate your understanding and prayers for these little ones... No child deserves to be neglected or abused. I too am a survivor of abuse so this has brought up a lot of feelings in me -- a lot of anger, sorrow and frustration... My sister was in foster care for a year, too, so I am familiar with those issues as well. (I was just about to turn 18 so they didn't put me in the system... instead I had to fend for myself. It was very frustrating!).

Thank you, Free2Be! I really appreciate it... I am feeling a lot better about this today, so the prayers you all are saying are definitely working -- at least from my end of things! :) Thanks again, everyone!

Please will you say a quick prayer here (http://foru.ms/t6186165-prayers-for-beanis-mum.html)? It'll help her to know more than one person is praying for her :(
Thank you

I'm sorry you had to go through that. It seems almost if not more frustrating to just be left hanging than to move from place to place.
Most of the foster parents were in it for Lord knows what reason - it wasn't an over abundance of love and kindness that is for sure! However, my last foster home was a good one - we still sometimes call and write each other. And they were awesome role models both physically and spiritually. They taught me about God. So I am praying those babies will be placed with a foster home like that one. With awesome spirit filled role models.

Amen.
Father, I pray for this whole forum, that, as we know the strife won't stop, we are able to take on Your strength to defend Your name and Truth. I ask, Father, that through us, Your righteousness shine, that we treat everyone with the love You gave us, but that we boldly stand firm in our faith...each and every one of us. We need You, Lord, we desperately need You.
In Jesus' name, Amen.

I thank you Lord Jesus, our Savior and God

May I ask for your prayers, please?
I'm really working through some tough things in my life, and I could use some prayers.
I feel like God is working me, prompting me to heal my relationship with men and my self-esteem, and it's hurting. I have a lump in my throat that isn't going away.
Pray I deal with this His way and come out stronger the other end.
(One of the things I'm working on is talking to others IRL. I truly believe that no one will care about this thread. Not saying to get sympathy, just as an illustration. It was made pretty clear to my mind growing up that others didn't really care what I have to say. Did I mention I have self-esteem scabs being picked?)
Thank you!
