View Full Version : Moderator followups to member "Report(s)"

Over the past several days I filed a number of reports, on a variety of issues. To date, I have received one PM from a moderator telling me that the issue was either being looked into, or resolved. Rather than have to go back through all the threads and see what happened, if anything at all, to see if my reports were even acknowledged, it would be nice to actually be informed by the staff. I suppose my reports could have gone ignored, in which case I will simply not waste my time anymore filing them.
However, if they are being taken into consideration, I am unaware of it. You might want to look into designing an automated system letting a member know that their reports have been acknowledged and are at the very least being reviewed. Perhaps even give the member the option of whether or not they even want to be notified of a report being reviewed.
That's my two cents.

Hmmm....I wonder if maybe it could be fixed so the PMs the staff get have that "read receipt" attached to it like the regular PMs do. Obviously I'm not the coder...but it's something I've been thinking about seeing if it could be done anyway.

Mmm... not a bad idea AA... I will look into this...

Actually, it's not that easy to do. Also, moderators should ALWAYS let members know when they have done something with a report.
Rest assured, all reports are looked at by at least one moderator. Even if something is not done, it has been reviewed, since all reports gets emailed, PMed AND posted in our Staff Forums.

I always try and send a PM to a member if its a report that I'm fixing..
Usually I'm too late in responding to the reported posts, so someone else has already taken care of it..
Sorry nyj.

Definitely no need to apologize to me allie. :)
Heck, this is something I know I was guilty of doing myself on more than one occassion. Now, being on "the other side" though I can definitely see how some people would feel "disenfranchised" with CF, especially when they feel as if they're somehow a nuisance or being ignored and left to the wolves.

I think that could use some more stressing in the moderator forums.

Probably because my reputation is over 100 points. However, this is a serious issue that I'd really like to see addressed appropriately and don't want to see it get side-tracked.

The two reputation things is not a bug...it's cuz he went over 100 points (I think). In fact, I think you can get up to four of them, but I'm not sure!

Me neither, this is one of the reasons that issues are not addressed properly, I completely echo nyjs thoughts on lack of moderator action and communication.
There are some serious problems with some members and nothing is being done.

I'll do what I can. But as you know it's hard to get people to listen to me unless I talk in size 7 font. ;)

Bumped because unfortunately AngelAmidala's post in the Staff Forum has gone unheeded by some of the staff. :(

Please PM AA or TheBear directly, who will investigate.

If I might suggest this, and hopefully I am not out of line here by saying this.. But nyj... if you are sending pm's, reporting, ect and no other moderators are getting back to you on it.. Send something to me, and I will fix it if I can, more than likely I might be able to help and get it done for you!
