I like the new rules and the openness. I think it is a step in the right direction. I've read some of the responses in other Christian subforums here and it is amazing how threatened Christians can feel when challenged to open up their "holy huddle."

I can't help but think what would have happened to our world, and indeed to us, if Christ had remained in his "holy huddle" in heaven instead of coming down here to us in our muck and mire of sin. The point of holiness is not to separate ourselves from those we consider to be sinners, but to be right where they are without being corrupted by their sin.

Despite all the hoohaa on other subforums, the Bible nowhere says what it means to be a Christian. Instead, we must each determine for ourselves whether we are each following Christ to the best of our ability. Jesus never invited anyone to "become a Christian". But he did invite people to follow him in his way of being "the people of God". I'm encouraged by these changes to CF. If others aren't happy unless they can find people that believe "just like me", then so be it. Jesus came to people that were, in a sense, "not like him." So should we are his Body, IF our goal is to be "just like Jesus".

The changes sound pretty good!

I have been disheartened about the division between different denominations I have encountered here at CF ... especially as a Christian who doesn't really have one denomination to call her own ...

I have met people here at CF who are ashamed to call themselves Christians (and have changed their faith icon to demonstrate this publically) as a result of treatment they have received from fellow Christians ... :(

I hope with the suggested changed implemented CF will become a better place!
