Goodbye my friends;
The changes that Erwin announced last night will gut the Congregational Fora, they are the only reason I was ever a part of CF. It has been fun and challenging.

Hey brother...I didn't get that from the post...
However I did get the idea that it will be one big PC all-inclusive, TEC-like love affair allowing Mormons to consider themselves Christians, homosexuals to call themselves married, and folks like Ms. Redding to spread her quasi-Christian rot speech like it is gospel. I'm not so sure this is going to be a good thing..but I suppose we shall see....
Aaron - who will be watching from the sidelines as truth is sold up the river at the expense of the notion of some post-modern unity...:(

Well that and the fact that anyone will be able to post in the Congregational Fora. The reason I liked the Congregational Fora is because I could discuss Anglicanism with Anglicans. Not Buddhists, Atheists, Muslims etc. I do enough apologetics in real life I don't need to come here for it.

I would imagine there will still be rules about not entering into debate in a denominational forum to which one does not belong.

The rules will be made by consensus, and by the CF membership. I think most people would agree on that rule.

I hope you can stick it out at least a while to see how things go, John.

Actually each of the forums will decide for themselves Karen.

Well, I will stick it out and see how things go.
I would be very sorry to see any of my friends leave, but if they must, there is nothing left to do.

Thank you, John; I have always felt supported in knowing that. If you do go, I will miss you very much.
Maybe I'm just naive, this is the first and only forum I've regularly attended to and been involved in. But I just feel the changes will be OK.

I pray that you reconsider this John. You are on the greatest assets that CF has and to lose you as moderator is such a shame. Like i've just said to Cola, please at least hold your horses for a while and just see how these new rules are implemented.

Yep Redneck started our little group over there when the board basically told us conservatives that we didn't need a place to talk amongst ourselves.
We have had some very interesting threads already and I have ideas for a few more.

Tom you and I have been here a long while (well at least for an internet forum) I hope that you realize how much I have appreciated you and your gentle guidance here.
I recommend that if this place is going to survive they need more of you and Karen back on staff and less of me.
