The verse means that Jesus' dedication (His zeal) for God's Temple ("your house") overrode His thoughts for self-preservation ("will consume me"). Jesus caused a great deal of upset by purifying the Temple. That may've been what led the Saducees to collude with the Pharisees to capture Jesus for Crucifixion -- thus actually consuming Christ in real, physical terms.

It comes from Psalm 69:9.

Now it is referring to the evil acts in the temple ias an insult against our Almighty God, when HE went through the temple throwing tables and chairs everywhere in spiritual-righteous anger.

Our Lord Jesus Christ didn't deal with those people in the Temple half-heartedly, because HE was consumed with righteous anger against the flagrant disrespect that they held for our Almighty God. His anger was not "without a cause". So basically, HE is confirming by what HE did in the Temple of the OT writing in the Psalms.

MY FRIEND,

Might i suggest that you get yourself a good "Study Bible" so that you can get immediate answers to your questions instead of having to do all that "pacing back and forth"?
