I am trying to make an appeal in the appeals forum but every time I click on the new thread button I get this:

Keli Nivchar, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

Can someone help me please?

What you need to do is click on the moderator's feedback button.

The moderator who took action against you has a feed back button on the right hand side of their profile - by the post and rep counts. Click on that button and follow the instructions.

It is the thing that looks like this:

Thanks, Cadan! :)

Thanks, both of you. I thought that button was only for 'praise', which makes the new thread button in the feedback forum rather useless though, doesn't it? :)

Are there still conciliators, or did that stop too? Cadan, didn't you used to be one?

From clicking that button you can choose to give praise, or file an appeal. I am not sure why the 'new thread' button still appears, but it must just have something to do with the coding :)

As for conciliators, the current list can be found here (http://www.christianforums.com/t5320772-ombudsmen-and-list-of-conciliators.html)

I think we're down to about 2 conciliators.

There are plenty of ex-staff and ex-conciliators around though who would be happy to help you out.

For 194,866 members only two conciliators? Either that is a very optimistic daydream or they really aren't much use in this system?
I have filed my appeal , I am wondering how long for someone to post on it saying they are going to look into it?

There used to be more but there's been some sort of shake-up recently with some being fired and some quitting.

Two effective, former conciliators are CaDan and Crazy Liz. If a couple of days go by without hearing anything on your appeal you may want to PM them for suggestions as to what to do next.

There are supposed to be some major overhauls of CF tomorrow so your appeal may be put off until everyone gets a chance to see what the new CF will look like. By then your appeal may be moot.
