Please watch Tina. I found her close to dead, but she is okay now. The owner hasn't been on in a week. Thanks.

Thank you Lillyoo, we have a do not feed requested by the owner of this pet.
We know she has not been on. But we know the rules also.
Trying to follow the rules you know. Thank you for doing what you know should be done but cf pet forums has to follow the rules as they come from administration.
We have had many WORKERS wanting to feed this pet and I have written the child a pm asking to be given permission to feed the pet but never an answer. bfly

I don't understand why someone would request that a pet not be fed. Does that happen often? Does the owner know that the pet could be placed for adoption.

Not often but it happens. Yes, they know we have adoption options but sometimes "People want to make a statement" for good or worse and we can't take control of another person's property.
Every pet that belongs to CF Pet Forum is checked each day and 99% of them are being taken care of either by the owners or sometimes we have to help the owners out because of things going on in thier lives they have no control over and we are here as a saftey net for the pets. 99% of the pet owners appreciate the ministry of cf pet forum and know if for any reason they can't get on their pet will be taken care of.
Just as in life there are a few that rather see the pet dye than to be bothered with the pm sent out by the automated system to let them know their pet has been taken care of.
For the most part the owners take care of their pets. No complaints from us. This is a fine group of people and this is their ministry and they take it very seriously. They all volunteer and work tireless hours and love each pet as if it was their very own.
So anytime you see a petworker send them a pm and thank them for the work they are doing. We have 35-40 people working around the clock checking several hundred pets each day. Each one deserves respect and appreciation for the jobs they are doing.
Thank you pet workers and pet owenrs for helping us make cf pet forum the best it has ever been. bfly

I never realized that every pet is looked on every day. Wow. I thought it was just the ones you found out about from concerned members.
May God continue to bless you and your ministry.

So... since I am not a pet worker, does the rule still apply to me?
I wonder why she just doesn't put her up for adoption...

HI Lilly00, no that is the rules cf pet forum and it's workers must abide by. Unless you are a pet worker for cf pet forum then you don't know our rules and are not expected to follow them. Hope this helps. bfly
