Lamentations 3 verse 7 "He hath hedged me about, that I cannot get out: he hath made my chain heavy."

Have you ever been caught between a rock and a hard place(hedged about)? Seems like you stuck in a situation where there is no hope. I've often had that happen to me, but I know that there is a time and a purpose for everything under heaven. I've been to the ocean and watched the tides ebb and flow. At high tide, the water covers much of the beach, yet from my observations, I know the tide will change, and the beach will once again be exposed...all I have to do is wait and watch.
I don't believe God intends us to stay between a rock and a hard place for all time. He will make a way of escape. The Red Sea was before the Israelites, and the Egyptian army was fast approaching from the rear. They were trapped, but God made a way of escape. Just hold on until the time comes..it may be today!

Psalm 91 verse 15 "He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honor him."

thank you for encouragement. I also take comfort in Joseph's life story from Genesis. He was in Egypt for many years with many hardships and injustices before he was recognized for his godly wisdom, and God was always with him and strengthened him. I am thankful God can be with us in hardships, even though we may not always understand why things are so hard. God's Word is so encouraging.

God's Word is so encouraging....AMEN!

I love the story of Joseph...Imagine how he felt, throwed away by his brothers, sold into slavery, away from home, lonely, depressed, not understanding...but God was with him, and he KNEW it.

In the end, he told his brothers, "You meant it for evil, but God meant it for good". (Genesis 50 verse 20)

James 1 -2-4

My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into divers temptations;Knowing this, that the trying of your faith works patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that you may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.

It is hard sometimes when in the middle of a trying time to remember this. Not to call out to God "deliver me now!" - instead of patiently waiting in faith for his perfect outcome. Our trials do ebb and flow like waves washing the beach. Hopefully the outcome will be that our worldliness is rendered as tiny as a grain of sand.
