We could really use some prayers our way. My wife and I are under financial burden. It started before we met...I had a bit of bad luck with a job and ended up having to put all my bills on a visa in order to make the payments. And a little bit of our fault with spending when we didn't have money. (changed that, but too late i'm afraid)

We plan on having a kid next year and have to move in order to afford all our payments. Right now we have around $6000 in debt...not sure how we are going to afford a kid too.

We really REALLY need prayer!!

Praying. Some advice that you probably know already:

1. Stop eating out and buying processed foods at the grocer.

2. Borrow friends's videogames/movies.

3. Consider cancelling cable/high speed internet for a year.

All the extra money you get from those above put towards the debt. You'll get out of it.

Finally, if you wait to be financially ready for children, you'll never be ready! :)

There's a "personal finances" forum on this website you might find useful. Also, praying for you and your family.

I'm praying that God strengthen you and your faith in these things. I pray His power in your lives. I pray that you exceed God's expectations for you.

His,

Now that was a prayer. Amen to that.

God Bless

I don't know which country or province you are from. Here in Ontario there are some organizations which help you organize your debt load. They help you free of charge.

I have never used their services but I'm told that they will contact those you owe money to and inform them that they are working with you. They ask to have payments lowered to manageable amount and then they supervise your spending and bill payments.

You might enquire around and see if you have one of these agencies in your area.

Can I just say I know exactly what it feels like :)

Yes its true, I'm 19, but i've been on my own for about 8 months now. I have a townhouse and let me tell you, just remain faithful and continue to tithe no matter what money you have. If you cant afford the tithe, thats a faith offering. Let me also say, one thing that is SURE to please God the MOST is FAITH.

My story:

I moved out with 3000 in my bank account, well that was quickly diminished for furniture and such. Well, eventually I ran out of money, and making a measling 250-300 a week. I continued to tithe and I prayed for help, next think I know I have another 3000. Again, my money started diminishing. I was down to zero and in debt, my bank charged over 500 in overdraft fees, and I was pretty much screwed. Well, I tithed and remained faithful, now I got a raise and am making enough live financially free.

Remain faithful and continue to tithe, oh, and if you ever get to the point where you cant afford to tithe, you are living above your standards. Don't ever stop tithing, after all, its not your money in the first place.

Good luck, I'll pray for you.
