Will my pets go to heaven?

I ask you all to speculate on this...

I have lost a few pets over the years, and have always hoped to be reunited with them some day. Would Heaven be all that perfect without them?

Some one once told be about a place called the Big Field...Here, cats lay in the sun and play and drink milk, and wait at a bridge for their owners.

I really wish it were true...And I'd be sad if it weren't

The scriptures do not seem to address this, one way or the other. Anyone have any thoughts?

I would like to hope that my pets would be in Heaven, but I have always heard people say that animals don't have souls, so they can't live in Heaven.

"Your righteousness is like the mighty mountains, Your justice like the great deep. O LORD, You preserve both man and beast." (Psalm 36:6, NIV)

This verse doesn't say if animals will be saved or not, but it says that man and beast will be preserved, so... I don't know.

The Bible doesn't really say much about it.

The Bible says that all God's creations will be with him. But in Revelations it says there will be a new heaven and a new Earth. I take that to mean that the new Earth could the animals "heaven" while we enjoy the company of the Creator.

The Bible doesn't say if our pets will be in heaven, only that there will be animals. Will Jane see Fluffy again? Who can say for certain, only God knows. Does it hurt to think that we'll see them again? Not in the least, because even if we are wrong, it won't matter, because in heaven there is no more tears and no more sorrow. :)

There are verses in Ezekiel which say the lion will lay with the lamb, and that all the animals will eat straw together.

I believe this speaks of either the millenial kingdom or the new earth, not heaven. I cannot say whether animals are in heaven but I know for sure they will be in the new earth. They DO have spirits...

Ecclesiastes 3;21 - "Who knoweth the spirit of man that goeth upward, and the spirit of the beast that goeth downward to the earth?."

It appears animals spirits go into the earth, perhaps to be reserved for resurrection when God makes the new heavens and earth. This verse would seem to suggest that the animals spirits do not go to heaven but remain with the earth. That still means we will see them again. But does that mean we will have all the cats we have ever owned. I have 12 right now. I have probably had at least 25 or more total in my lifetime. Uh Oh!
