It does not say in the Nicean Creed that Jesus is God merely that they are of the same essence. As father's and son's are.

Jesus sits by God's side in heaven and spoke to God from the cross.

Why do people think they are the same and in doing so deny their glorious difference.

If anyone believes they are the same i challenge you to answer this question:

Was it God who was tempted by the Devil to sin? Did God contemplate sinning? Did God have sinful thoughts?

Answers on a postcard. If anyone can...

Also if anyone agrees with me on this issues please speak out.

Jesus and God are of the same essence, but not the same?

Kind of like Steam and Ice?

They are both water? No?

Well, the physical properties are different, not unlike God being in the flesh.

But aren't they the same thing? Water, H2O, Hydrogen Hydroxide. Call it by another name, but It's still the same thing.

Semantics.

Answer the question: Was God tempted by the Devil?

to live in a fallen body, the flesh will have temptations, such as crankyness from a headache, momentary anger from a stubbed toe, hunger after fatty and sugary things, sexual thoughts, ect. The body can tempt us to sin in a lot of cases, but it is the heart that has been born again which will chose not to give in, it is the supreme authority. Jesus occupied a fallen human body that had desires just like us. Being an example to us, he showed us how to overcome the body's temptations to sin. The fast for 40 days had to do with the body, perhaps he knew that if one was truely born again, most, if not all of the temptations that they had to deal with were ones that involved the body.

In addition, Jesus boldly proclaimed to be God in the flesh.

Lol.

Poor thing. Those things aren't sins!

You make God sound like a paracite looking for a host body!

Where have you got that from?

MATTHEW 3

16As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and lighting on him. 17And a voice from heaven said, "This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased."

Jesus wasn't speaking to himself.

God didn't say "This is me down there in the water"

Jesus is the son of God not God!!!

Misrepresentation of deity of Christ is contrary to the poster's claim of being a Christian.
