View Full Version : Insignificant in the long run, but a big deal to me.

I know that there are people dying, marriages failing, and so many other very important things to pray for, but this is kind of heavy on my heart right how even though it's so small.
I had a kitten named Sam for almost a year that I grew really, really attached to and I had to give him away when I moved back in with my parents for them summer. A family that I know took him, and I know that they take very good care of him (they already had a cat when they took Sam, and that cat is perfectly fine and loved), but he's not doing very well. When I had him, he was always very cuddly and playful. He would wait for me by the door every day and sleep with me every night. He's lost a lot of weight since going to their house and he doesn't let them pet him very often.
I went over there last night and he still comes when I call him (which he doesn't do with them) and I played with him for a while, but he just wasn't himself at all. I just feel so bad!
Will you say a little prayer that he'll be okay? It makes me cry whenever I think about it.

Thank you again. :) It's comforting to know that nothing is too small for God to notice.

God loves all of His creation. He loves humans above all His creation but He also loves all of the rest of His creation and that includes kittens as well. He loves us and all of Creation to pieces.
Little Sam, the little kitten, means a lot to Jesus. I have prayed for little Sam and for yourself.
I could never have imagined having to separate myself from my cat - he's now 14 and I dread the day he goes to 'cat heaven'...
May God comfort your broken heart and little Sam's broken heart too.

Nothing is insignificant, when it comes to loving a pet. As you can see in my avatar and usertitle. Hope Sam (and you) can start feeling better.

We pray for all of creation, since it is God's and is meant to be surrendered back to the Lord. I strongly believe that pets, in their instinctive innocence, are given to us to teach us to love and care for creation in a meaningful way. Loving creation is a great first step in teaching us to love one another and ourselves.
Prayers and blessings to you all,
