I accepted Jesus Christ into my life when I was 15 years old. I was lost before and now I am found. I was full of hate but now I am filled with peace and love. I'm not entirely sure when exactly I became a Christian. Grew up in Christian family cliche. Loved the Lord, thought I was a Christian, even got excited about some stuff in the bible when I read it. But I don't think I realised my own sin fully until a camp my youth group runs about three and a half years ago. It was then I realised I was sinful, and wanted to change. Before that I knew in theory I was sinful, but not practically.

Well I have grown up in a Christian household & gone to church all my life. But for around 2 years, I kinda backslid. Official less then a year......I had my confirmation last year (may 15th). I am going to church now for over 2 years and I was baptized 41 years ago.....LOL. I was baptized twice (personally I was baptized years and years later....so just one time, but that was the third time....confused yet?LOL), just straigth after birth. (they thought I would die and I was born in a catholic hospital. If I died I would not have been burried in "holy" ground......THAT is SO stupid.....really, a child is born innocent. Thank God the priest of my brother's church did not follow that rule. Their first born was still born and not baptized. But they burried their beautiful son in holy ground and she is going there every week, cleaning his little grave. She needed to take care of him somehow. That priest understood and said: "A child is born innocent and he doesn't need to be baptized. I will give him a beautiful burial)

Anyway, a few months later, because my Mom wasn't at my baptism and she felt awful about that, so the priest of her church said he would do it again to give her a beautiful baptism of her ill daugther (I think that was soooo sweet of him) and at my confirmation the reverend made a cross on my forhead with water. To me that was my true baptism. I just could feel how I became truly closer to God when he did that. I almost cried. I had tears in my eyes. I was so happy!!!!!

Everybody told me to read all the Psalms and Proverbs and mark everything that pertained to me. As I grew in Christ my life was changing rapidly...now I look at those scriptures and they are for ever changing.

God opened the door to one where they do really care, recovering alcoholics like me are welcome and yesterday in teh pastor's office, I finally got my prayer answered.

My husband got saved in 1985 and I had the pleasure of leading my mom to the Lord before she died of cancer in 1991. However, since then, in the past few years, I have backslidden greatly.
