Settles into the big chair in the corner with crochet bag and waits for others to come in*****

Good morning,

Table looks great. Do you have those cute little white powdered donuts. They always seem to be the sunday choice when I am wearing black... LOL

I'm new here and still a little dazed and confused. I am the church secretary and sunday school teacher of a UMC. I am looking forward to meeting new people. I have bben reading thru a few threads and find them very interesting.

I spent my weekend being a big lazy bum. I fell at church a couple of weeks ago and ruptured a disk in my neck. so I worked it for all it was worth... "Honey, bring mama a soda pop"... I made it to Sunday School (I'm starting to teach Romans.. I gota be on my game...lol) then wimped... it's funny as all get out... I can blame all my natural wierdness on my doing drugs...for now anyway...

I don't mind coming in and eating as long as no one minds the sweaty smell of summertime's heat and humidity! ;)

Yummy, yummy! I'm setting up some Rita's Italian Ice-- the big party bucket!

(I think us Methodists should request a tongue licking smilie! ;) )

People have been bring me goodies the last few day. Today I got a full spread dinner from one of my favorite resturants.. compleate with their famous homemade cheesecake.

I am diabetic and my meds are making my sugars go haywire. This a.m. they were in the low 60's... Which means only one thing....

Medicinal CHEESECAKE!!!!

It beats the daylights out of those nasty glucose tablets..

Ahh! Banana Bread! I am allergic to banana. Can I claim virtual-world immunity to my otherwise unfortunate allergy?

By the way, I'm sort of new here. I have posted a bit recently. I lurk a lot though. So here I am, trying to be outgoing and friendly. Am I doing ok?

I brought some lemon iced tea.

Welcome to our family FireChild! As you can see we all enjoy tasty snacks, treats and the fantastic lemon iced tea you brought! Bringing a drink to the party sounds outgoing and friendly to me! :)

Come join us at the ASA thread too-- this is where we are probably the most active daily with fun fellowship.

Guess I'm on a diet!

Seriously, we know how to eat, don't we? My pentecostal preacher friend looks at me like I'm nuts when I talk about all the meals we eat at church.

I recently went to a conference for Congregational Health Ministries.

My contribution to the meal is fresh veggies with low fat dip, spinach salad with broiled chicken strips, and pedometers for everyone. (the 10,000 steps a day you should work towards will burn off a few of the calories form the green bean casserole and the desserts) :-)

We have a Monthly potluck at church, and for the February potluck we were asked to bring a passing dish, or a salad, and a dessert.

We took Rosemary Roasted Chicken and Potatoes, and Banana-Sour Cream Cake.
