Hi, welcome to CF! I think you will find answers to your questions in your denominational forum here at CF - like Catholic, Presbyterian, Lutheran, etc. or check out this area where Christians can help other Christians!

I need some one to help me with eternal security

Hi,

Have you accepted Jesus in your heart? The Bible says that if anyone calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. If you haven't, pray this prayer out loud;

Lord, I am a sinner in need of a saviour, please forgive me and come into my heart. Show me who you are.

Then, get you a Bible and start reading. When I started, I bought an easy to read translation and started with Matthew, Mark, Juke and John then Romans. As you read, pray for the Lord to speak to your heart, he will. Then you can come back here to ask questions.

One word I have learned. Everyone is at a different level with their walk as well as their own convictions. Many have different views of the Word based on their growth and where they are at. My best advice to you is to lean on the written Word of God and ask for the Holy Spirit to come into your heart and depend on Him to be your teacher.

God Bless you and feel free to PM me anytime if you need to chat. The Lord is awesome and is real and He wants to change your life... He did mine!

;)

Hmm security... it's something that is very hard to find in today's world, but there's is One person who can help you :) Even when things are falling apart, we can run to Him and He loves you greatly!

These past couple of weeks I have been in a rather difficult depression. I surrounded myself with Christian reading, enjoyed spending time at CF, talked to my Christian friends and read the Bible. I read Psalm 27 and that brought alot of peace into my heart.

The closer you get to Jesus, the more security you will have. Even if you can't seem to ever think up of a solution for a problem, He'll tell you "Hush my child, I will take care of you. Have peace in your heart!". That's what He told me the other day... and since then I've had security.

It comes and goes, but the stronger you grow with Christ, the more security you'll have :hug: I hope you will find this in your life :pray:

Yep... the first thing is to repent asking GOd to forgive you and allow God to show you your sins as He sees them in your life. Open up the temple of your mind and let Him clean it out, chasing away your cobwebs, spiders and things that go bump in the night of your attic. He will pull open that box in the very back of your attic and you will not want Him to see what is inside, but let Him. He is a loving God who wants only the best for you. Trust Him.

He will explain anything you do not understand (keep reading the Bible asking Him to show you) He will bring scripture to light and it will speak to your heart, and you will know it is Him.

You must be cleansed of all your sins, even sins you did not know were sins, but are huge sins in His eyes. There will be secret sins you want no one to know, and He will expose them to you and you will no that He knows it all, repent of all sins He presents to you. If you do not understand how this or that could be a sin, ask Him and He will reveal to you the depth, width and breath of sin, and how it has deep roots, huge branches and rotting fruit. You will be repulsed by the results and devastation of sin in not only your life but those around you. WHen God shines His light upon sin, it is ugly, and repulsive. Only in His light does the full impact of the destructive devastation of sin is revealed.

Keep hanging in there until the Lord has finally cleansed you of all your sins and made you a clean slate, your house(mind) will be clean, and you will experience the peace that passes all understanding. Now you will be ready and eager for more of Him who has saved you. Look at Rev 3:20, He will come and talk with you and you with Him. It will be the most inspirational moments of your life. You may have just be cleansed of all your sins, but you will not be able to stand in the presence of His Holiness unless He places His robe of righteousness upon you. Scriptures will come alive like never before.

Trust God. He loves you. Follow Him.
