Devarim (Deut) 4:29
And if from there you will seek Hashem (YHVH/the Lord) your Elohim (God), you will find him, if you seek him with all your heart and with all your soul.

If it takes seeking with all our heart and all our soul to find Him - then the opposite would also be true - if we do not seek Him with all we will not find Him. The principle we can glean is in order to find Him requires 100% from us. I am making the equation that all = 100%.

In driving a car we learn about a thing called a blind spot. We know that there are things that actually can be in a place that we don’t see them. People can have blind spots too. David talked about this principle:

Psalm 19:12
Who can discern his errors? Forgive (or clean) my hidden faults.

I get the idea here that the hidden things are like blind spots.

Jeremiah 17 is familiar to many. We have a comparison between the man that is cursed and the man that is blessed. As we assess ourselves we all would say we are the man that is blessed. Look at what Jeremiah says after he gives the comparison:

9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked; who can know it?
10 I, Hashem (YHVH/the Lord), search the heart, I test the inwards, to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.

In verse 9 I think Jeremiah is pointing us toward the idea of our blind spots. In verse 10 Adonai is reminding us that He is the judge. He will tell us one day if we searched for Him less than "all".

Do we even wonder what 99% looks like? If we were concerned that we may be in the camp that is at 99% would this not cause us to Fear our Lord?

“Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall.” (1 Cor 10:12)

“For not he who commends himself is approved, but whom the Lord commends.” (2 Cor 10:18)

“Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent to make your call and election sure, for if you do these things you will never stumble…” (2 Pet 1:10)

What do you think less than "all" looks like?

What do you think less than "all" looks like?probably what most of us do .... and yet when we can not find Him He finds us, or so it seems. For I doubt more than 1% of us truly seek Him with "our whole heart" and still we have been found, like the sheep that goes astray and has no idea how to get back .... He comes after us and we respond to His voice ...

probably what most of us do ....

...For I doubt more than 1% of us truly seek Him with "our whole heart"...

It should then challenge us :) I think I am beginning to understand why there is a need to cry out day and night to Him, though he bears long with us.

"...Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?"

yes, we do well to seek and find what "all" and "whole" mean to HaShem .... but...

we should not lament or burden ourselves with regrets for a perfection of sacrifice we will never attain this side of Heaven ....

seek yet without guilt or obsessiveness that could falsely distract us from the goal :)

AND neither should we excuse ourselves from the task and journey because we will never reach perfection - he who runs and endures to the end will win the goal :D

..... and love, yes love, criticism - how many times does YHWH say that whoever is wise loves criticism, even from a donkey or from an 'ungodly' man !
[remember king david when his soldiers wanted to kill the man cursing him from across the river ? king david said (in hebrew?) "no, G_d has sent him [!], leave him alone, let him live"]
plus how many times proverbs says the same about receiving correction and Not being offended by criticsm or refusing it.
(Owners of slaves were even told not to be offended when they overheard their slaves cursing them, not to let it bother them at all).

I think so many don't get past 10%, let alone 40 or 50 or 60,
because they wrongly think criticism is wrong.

Pride goeth before the fall....

Just when we think we are getting somewhere the Lord shows us it is pride that made us think that. Humbly we should go not knowing how far we have come but ever searching to cleanse ourselves from ALLLLLLL unrighteousness.

Heb 9:3 after the second veil, the tabernacle which is called the Holiest of ALL This is a place where we are to strive to enter...Heb 10:19 therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, So less than ALL is found in the outer court of the sanctuary.
