In the past, when I went off the Pill, my cycles almost immediately became unpredictable and horrible. I often skipped a month. I couldn't even know for sure how long my "monthlies" would last. Now, when I went off the Pill, I asked one of the saints for intercession.
Ever since I went off the Pill, every cycle has been normal! Only one went beyond 30 days, and my "monthlies" have been as light as they were on the Pill the last time around.
My mom, who has an underactive thyroid, also had trouble with her cycles when she was young. After being on the Pill for some time, she went off again, and discovered that her cycles were normal. This gives me hope that this is a permanent cure, that I won't ever have to use the Pill again. It also makes it a lot easier to tell when I ovulate, so maybe I can have one or two more children before I reach menopause. :D

Oh, yeah, I'd probably better get that thyroid checked when I see the doctor next....Mom and I seem to have a lot of similar issues....

I am on Armour thyroid 1/2 grain and it saved my pregnancy. I only had one child.
I suffered two miscarriages.
The miscarriage I had before my only successful pregnancy might have been caused by hypothyroidism, because I was not on thyroid then. It was only after the first miscarriage that I was placed on thyroid, when blood tests confirmed a borderline low thyroid function. Then, when I was taken off thyroid, I had a second miscarriage, which the doctor said might have been due to hypothyroidism. So, I was placed back on thyroid.
Don't let them mess with your meds, because going on and off the thyroid caused me to have irregular heart beats, mood swings, and weight problems.

My mom had problems with miscarriages before they discovered her thyroid problem. They put her on medication to regulate her cycles, and my oldest brother was born. I don't know what kind of medication, but you're about the same age, so it could've been the same thing.

Aria, how did you get them to give you the Armour? After I read a book on hypothyroidism, I tried to get my doctor to switch from synthoroid to Armour and can't find a doctor who will switch the prescription.

Nyssa, it could be a miracle. I believe I experienced a miracle healing after praying to St John the Wonderworker for healing. My doctor was very surprised to see it happen.

I'll take it either way--medical or miraculous. :) Though even if it's medical, it sure is interestingly timed.

I am allergic to medications, so using a synthetic brand always carries a risk.
The doctor didn't want me to take Armour because a natural product varies in the amount of active thryoxin delivered, however, I knew some people who really got mood swings while on the synthetic stuff.
Sometimes on really cold days, I will take two tablets, but that is because I am already on a very low dose (1/2 grain).
When a person needs a higher dose, then they will usually not use Armour.
Big hint: Go see a doctor who specializes in preventative medicine. They are more likely to give you Armour and use natural products, such as vitamins. They try to avoid drugs. However, my own doctor is really starting to push drugs lately, and I fear that drug pushing is being encouraged by the AMA and the drug cartel.
BTW: My doctor is a Coptic Orthodox Christian and he is wonderful.

I have experienced a lot of miracles too.
BTW: One of my doctors told me to take 50 mg of B6 and 500 mg of Magnesium every night before retiring. When I did so, my painful periods ceased and I became more regular.
Also, don't worry too much about being regular because once you hit the perimenopause years, they will not be regular any more and the cycles will vary from 15 days to 200 days. Generally, for many wormen, first the cycles get shorter, and then they gradually get longer until they cease all together. Some women just suddenly cease after having a menopausal baby. After nursing their last baby, their cycling never comes back.
