Thanks to Sebastian for making me think about this while I mowed the yard. It's good for brothers and sisters to challenge us and get us thinking about Him, His Word, and our relationship.

Onto the topic at hand.....
It doesn't take long to look around the forums and see people disgruntled with church leaders, and Chrsitians in general. We see many things wrong but how many of us take action? When was the last time you honestly prayed for your pastor or teacher? When was the l;ast time you took the time to encourage them, or challenge them in love? When was the last time you saw someone in sin and you sat down with the Bible and honestly, prayerfull studied the issue together? When was the last time you spent a dedicated time in prayer and study for yourself? When was the last time you reached out to help someone that most people overlook or forget about? When you tell someone you will pray for them, do you follow up?

Do your actions show what's on your heart or are you just paying lip-service?

NOTE:I am by no means perfect on these things. I do make an honest effort and am growing in them daily. I say these things to chellenge myself as much as to chellenge my brothers and sisters. God has so much more for us than just a mediocre religion, He has a red hot relationship full of passion and growth.

I do tend sometimes to stray away from Him, but I realize it and i always come back, and He welcomes me. you are very right. Many of us complain..but we never do anything about it. All of it is very troubling, indeed. But you are right, we need to pray, to reach out to people.

Become a chuch leader then Mont.
Get in a denomination, dissagree with there acts and doctrins. Hey just tick off the main funders. See how long you last. They would have the whole chuch calling you names before you know it.
Change your church, somebody owns that building, 90% of most church groups support their preacher no matter what they do, as long as they dont turn gay or anything.
Thats why Jesus said leave them be, let the blind lead the blind. Thier not going to listen.
Hey, the Catholic Church just killed those who disagreed, I guess some things have changed.

But if you want to start your own Church, and your low on funds you end up getting more of a gathering. Which people seem to hate around here.
Oh, well!

Whether we realize it or not we're probably ALL leaders in some capacity.

And letting a pastor be wrong isn't really supportive is it?

LOL and yes, I do get called names but most of the people in my local fellowship are mature enough to have an honest and challenging discussion.

Grow thick skin, speak the truth in love, and let God do the work.

Have a friend that complains constantly about her pastor. A couple of times, I've ask Have you prayed and ask the Lord to help him? Lleaving the details up to the Lord. There is silence.

Yet I need to pray more for them, too.

I haven't seen my pastor for about 15 yrs, but I was thinking about him today and yes I prayed for him.
I remember him as a man with a good heart who really loves the Lord and His sheep.:prayer:
