Hi everyone,

I'm preaching my first sermon this Sunday morning (under the watchful eyes of our rector) - I'd appreciate a prayer if you feel so inclined. :)
Thankyou!

That's great, Dear Tomoz, I will pray and think of you then.
It should be not to hard, John 13:31 to 35
It's the wonderful passage in which we are told to give Christian Love - it's beautyful and you can put a lot into it.
May I share with you a wonderful Wittness of true Love? It's not from me, it's from Brother James and goes like this:
a family had two Children, a Boy and a Girl which loved her Brother dearly, and via versa. The Boy had Leukemia and needed urgent a Bone Merrow. The Sisters Merrow was suitable for transplant.
Little Sister was asked if she would give her Brother the required Bone Merrow, which made her happy to do something for her Brother. Later when both were lying side by side in the Opperation Theater and Doctors set everything up, she asked her Mum 'when I am going to die?'
Nobody told her what will happen and she thought she give her Merrow for Brother and die in this Process: unconditional Love 'till the end.
And this is what Jesus tells us in 13:34 a great Gospel.
I think of you on Sunday,
Norbie

Hope it goes well - I'll bet you're nervous. I'm sure you'll do really well though.

Tomoz,
Congrats on your first first sermon! This is a big occasion. I don't know if you're prone to nervousness, but for me I imagine my sermons to be just as much a part of the Liturgy as the words in the BCP and I feel the confidence of the Spirit.

Rest assured the saints are praying for you, the Spirit is guiding you, and the Word will be preached.

Well it all went ok - no one fell asleep and no one rang the heresy bell, so I'm counting that a success :-)
Thankyou for your prayers everybody!

You have a heresy bell - how cool!

I'm glad it went well - did you get any feedback from your minister?
