What if any is the main difference between amish and mennonite, and what about the other denominations- anabaptists, quaker etc. I have used Rod adn Staff materials for my duaghter in schooling and dont remember if they are amish, or menonite or ? I really like their materials, it's solid and very wholesome, and the people overall seem very nice.
So anyways, just interested in how amish for ex differ from others, or hwo they all fit in- are they basically the same type of belief but minor differences? thanks!

There really is not a significant difference between Amish and Mennonite. Both span from horse and buggy groups to more "modern", but the most "liberal" Amish groups are very conservative still. Rod and Staff is Mennonite, but would reflect both Conservative Mennonite and progressive Amish groups. The other large Anabpatist groups would be the communal Hutterites and the Brethren.

Quakers are not Anabpatist and really have no relationship to Amish and Mennonites
