What do I do??? It's a choice between staying here in Mt. View, a small town of mostly older retired people, staying home all the time, making baskets. Or going to Eureka Springs where I can really sell my baskets, yet, many in Eureka(an art community) are new age, wiccan, gay, etc, so if I didn't have many friends in Mt. View because boring retired people, then it will be the same yet with gays, wiccans, instead of retired boring folk--, but then, I've never been to Springfield MO, where there is a large christian college community and maybe some good churches(but it's in a big city and not sure about that), or I can get an rv and just travel across the country--see family in NM, I can live in the RV(I want to get a Safari Trek-can live in it and nice thing about it I can just pick up and move my 'house' to whatever town. Don't have to deal with moving furniture, stuff, etc. I'm planning on getting rid of bunch of stuff, anyway. I feel like, I'm just--I don't belong anywhere and the Lord doesn't have any place for me--except alone at home. I don't know what He wants me to do.

Oh yeah, Springfield, I think is like an hour or 2 away from Eureka Springs, so I can go back and forth between the two towns, either selling baskets, or going to church, etc.

Christians are needed in dark places, so you could view it that way. If you feel that you won't be tempted by any of the lifestyles associated with that praticular town, I would say go for it! Maybe you can help bring a wiccian or two to the Lord :P

I say get the RV, take off to Eureka Springs, take off to NM if you don't like ES, head for San Francisco if you don't like NM....... sounds like great fun if you can afford it. I'd love to do just that myself. Have fun!

Yes, I have a monthly income from my grandfather-inheritance, and I make baskets on the side, and traveling in an rv has always been a dream of mine, so I thought..I want to do that!! I just talked with a lady yesterday who showed me her Safari Trek(the kind of rv I want) and it only confirmed "yeah, I wanna do this!". I was soo delighted that she showed me around her rv and I gifted her with a small pine needle basket that I made. The nice thing about living in an rv, is you can pick up and move to the next town, and don't have to deal with moving furniture, rental vans, breaking your back moving, etc!!

Oh yeah, she told me that she saves money by 'boondocking', camping free in Walmart parking lots when traveling, etc. I wouldn't want to make Walmart my front yard, but can boondock overnight when on my way to a destination. Then when I get to that destination, find a campground and hook up for a month or two. Usually around 300 dollars a month rent a month. But I'll plan on staying in a spot for 4 months, then in another for 4 months, etc. For example, spend the winter out in Arizona, and see the gem show and see friends in Tucson, check out quartzite, then, go back to Eureka Springs in the spring. Then, in the summer, when it gets so hot, go to colorado, or wyoming, etc. some sort of pattern.

You sound brave enough to follow your dream. Do it.

Put down pros and cons for each option on paper. Be honest about them, put down everything you can think of + or -, including your feelings. ANd then pray about it. I did that once, and the naswer I got from God was "it doesn't matter". ANd I said something intelligent, like "huh?". And then I realized that each of the options were ok, would accomplish what I needed, were all acceptable to God; I just had to DO one. God Bless.

I remember a christian brother was praying over two different choices--two different ministry opportunities! and God told him the same thing!! Either one!! That's so awesome! I'm going down to rent an rv tomorrow to see how well I can get use to driving one!!

I traveled around the country in a cabovercamper for a couple of years. I visited relatives in the Springfield area and NM and AZ and other places. Just be careful where you park. The meth heads are on the Rez and have a big presence in MO. I only had trouble once in my travels. That was when I was travling around the UK in a Campervan and some kids wanted to tip it over with me inside it. When I shouted at them to knock it off, they went away.

I wished I were in the Elks as they have hookups for their members at many lodges and Elk RV sites. It would have been nice to belong to a fraternity like that. Calling or writing churches in the area that you are going to and asking if you can park in their lot might be a nice way to meet nice people in your travels. I found the people in different churches to be nice.

As for the neopagans, why bother? They are not even that big of a contingent at SCA events (where they are numerous).
