:wave: This place is filled with people who do not take God's word literally, and find all ways of excusing this. I choose not to hang around people who cannot see the error in Women Preachers, listening to the Beatles, thinking spanking your children is child abuse, whether evoution is true or not... the list is LONG. And I am very greived in spirit by the lack of zeal in God's supposed followers. Why arnt we taking God's word as literal, a handbook because God loves us so very much, and if we just do it HIS way, we wont have some of the troubles we do. I have met very zealous people on here who believe the Bible and use it for their sole authority, but there are others who clearly ignore its teachings, and I cannot hang around and agree with this. If you want to talk to me out side of here feel free to PM me. Im sorry to leave on such terms, but I am evidently upset about this. May God grant you peace and a give you a hope in Him.

I think that since you are a Baptist using an Anabaptist icon, it may be difficult for you to understand that there is a very wide range of practice within Anabaptism. Few Anabaptists believe in absolute literal interpretation of the scriptures, and few adhere to the belief that those who do not accept scripture as absolutely literal are not really Christians. Most Anabaptists are much more inclusive than they are exclusive.

Even fewer believe that they can have no contact with people who believe differently than they do. There are a handful of churches within the sect that require strict separation from everyone who professes differences in doctrine or other teachings.

If you are looking for a forum where everyone agrees with you on everything, you are looking in vain. If you are only willing to have contact with people who affirm what you believe and only what you believe, a public forum will disappoint you every time. The point of the forum is to interact with people, not to come to a single absolutely literal interpretation of the Bible.

By the way, why is listening to the Beatles wrong?? Why not Nirvana or any other band? How did you decide the Beatles are evil?
