Well, the icons are arranged in their usual order(almost), but the location has been moved to my temporary room on the first floor.

It is a wonderful prayer corner... in fact, better then mine. I only have four icons and then some icon cards that I framed.

Cool!

We just bought a nice table at an antique mall, which we'll use for our icon corner.

I hadn't thought about a bookshelf/bookrack, though. We'll see (depending on what the missus says).

Got it for $3.00, at a garage sale, held by the school across the street. Also, notice the small palm cross & 2 years worth of palm fronds & pussy willows ;)

On the opposite side of the room, I have a 2x2 inch Holy Napkin Icon, that's been with me in the hospital & rehab, and a diptych that I can see while working at the computer.

Very nice! I only have a few icons.... and actually had to make two icon corners in the house, instead of one, since there isn't much room to place them all in the same place. I like it separated this way, though.

Yours is wonderful!

Watch out!

The first step to becoming Orthodox is the attraction of icons!

... 'cause after awhile, you realize that you can't uproot them from the Church in which and from which they came, so ...

... in order to "have" and "keep" one's icons, one realizes that one must become Orthodox. :priest:

Just kidding ... sort of. Read this:

http://janotec.typepad.com/terrace/2007/01/ford_prefect_sp_2.html

One reason I became Orthodox was so I could venerate the icons and holy things (the Cross, the Gospel) and pray with/to the Saints and read and talk about and discuss the Church Fathers, as I had come to see their validity and their value as Traditions. In most Protestant Evangelical/Charismatic churches, such behavior or talk would have been looked upon with suspicion, and I was too far gone into Orthodoxy to turn back or stop doing these things. :)

My icon corner is still in the process of being drywalled and then needs to be painted before I can even begin to hang icons.

I'd never paid them any mind, and after I became born again, some will say Oh thats idolatry or some such.
But then I actually read, and learned, and "got it."
People need to research more.;)

I have a 2'x3' icon of St. George that I wrote in my living room and am working on a 3'x4' icon of St. George right now for someone else.
