So, I'm in an interesting spot right now....I've come to the place where I'm still looking for a church - but being at the Orthodox Church seems to be......right. I'm still learning about what the Orthodox Church believes, so I can't consider myself to be fully ascribing to the Orthodox beliefs - there are so many differences that I don't see how i could do that yet!! but - yet, I honestly feel that this is where God wants me to be. It is a very different place than I imagined I would be at - but I...well....yeah. As to what this post is about...I guess I just wanted to update some of you as to where I am.

I think it is wonderful that you are taking your time and not trying to push yourself to make a decision quickly and MOST importantly that you are attending the services at an Eastern Orthodox Church... for the ONLY way to know about us is to attend our services.

Continue to just soak things in. This is an acculturation process... a change in ways of looking at things, not just a change in practices, etc.

What Akathist said!

Give yourself time and attend the services. That's the best way to "know" Orthodoxy.

I am just learning about it myself (and Why have I not heard of it before?)
It makes sense. One starts out with preconceived ideas, but when you research and read, you learn its not what any detractors have made it out to be.
I am still awaiting a service myself.

That is good you have been able to attend an Orthodox Church. Good to see you here, and thanks for the update.
