I know we have an extention this year until Tuesday, but I have this tradition of waiting until April 15th and going on line to do my taxes, printing out the forms, and mailing them with their payment.
I have to tell you, self employed taxes are killing me. I saved this year for taxes more then usual and it is taking every single penny I have ... in fact, I have to make a deposit to cover it and will not likely have my rent for May.
Praise God I can cover the tax debt this year... last year I had to file an extention. And while May's rent will likely be late, it will be paid.
I took all of my possible deductions and it still came out that the standard one was best for me.
It would really help if I could get a regular paycheck job. As I did the taxes on line, I checked and if I had earned my income through a paycheck I would have gotten back a refund, instead I owe a bunch.
I hope the rest of you are fairing better.
