Will an Episcopal priest bless a crucifix or cross (the type you wear around your neck) if you ask them to?

I cannot say......I.M.H.O. God does not bless inanimate objects. He blesses people.

Request a blessing for yourself....life....family....friends...future whatever, and receive such in the Lord..I feel that God loves us and wants to bless us!

Yes, most Anglican Priests will say a blessing over an object.

Remember, one of the apostles blessed a cloth for the healing of a sick person.

And I guess Christ blessed bread - I guess it all depends on what you think blessing something is all about and what it actually does...

anyone have any ideas?

Yes, priests will do this.

I think it would be best for the priest to bless God for the gift of the cross, and bless the one who wears it, that s/he may find deepening faith in God.

Mine does. And I think ChaliceThunder describes the intention of the 'blessing' very well.

If they have ever baptised, they have blessed the water, or at least should have.
