I'm off for a week-long residential for my course. How am I going to survive without any contact with you lot?
It's all about the theology and politics of relationships! Should be really good.
Back next Sunday. Happy Easter All!

It was really good, Tom. We had some wonderful speakers, especially Ann Morisey (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Journeying-Out-Approach-Christian-Mission/dp/0819281018/ref=sr_1_4/202-9320262-8383847?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1176724946&sr=1-4) and Adrian Thatcher (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Theology-Families-Challenges-Contemporary/dp/1405152753/ref=sr_1_2/202-9320262-8383847?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1176725119&sr=1-2).
It was pretty intense, challenging in many respects, on both a personal level and to us as future leaders in the Church. We had some very lively discussion groups after each session.
It was also pretty draining, with lots of highs and lots of lows. There was a lot of support provided, though, with 2 chaplains and also our student groups.
Wonderful weather (it was in Yorkshire) and on our afternoon 'off' we went to a Sculpture Park that was beautiful. About 12 of us 'first years' went, along with one of the chaplains, who is a monk from Mirfield. After the park, we all went to the Pub and then out for a Chinese meal.

Also, the Principle of our college led a daily Bible study entitled Pharaoh, Jacob, Joseph and Family (from Genesis chapters 37-50) which was fabulous. He used Mary-Phil Korsak's literal translation of the Hebrew from At the Start. (http://www.amazon.com/Start-genesis-Made-Mary-Phil-Korsak/dp/0385471807)
