Never spent time on internet chat boards, but I have very few friends that are interested at all in religious issues and fewer that are Orthodox so I thought I'd give it a try. I've only been Orthodox for about three years, don't have much of a religious background beyond that. My parents are non-practicing Catholics. I grew up in Toronto, huge Leafs fan. Started playing major junior in the CHL for Moosejaw when I was 16, so for the most part I lived away from home since then. Got drafted by the Devils, and over the next few seasons got bounced around 5 different NHL clubs, mostly playing in the A apart from call up's from time to time. Ended up with the Kings, called up from Manchester at the end of 2003-04 season and then ended up stuck in LA. Turned out to be a good thing though, the people in the apartment next to mine were an older Serbian couple. I used to talk hockey with old Pavle and they introduced me to Orthodoxy. Trying to work my way up the coaching ladder, but most my income comes from teaching middle aged accountants how to do hockey stops. That's me in a nutshell, hello all.

I'm glad your journey has led you into the Church, and to TAW. It's a great place to interact with other Orthodox. I'm the only EO in my family, so when I'm away from Church I try to spend a lot of time on here with my EO buddies. :thumbsup:
