Just curious, what is everyone else doing on Good Friday and Easter Sunday?

The church I attend is putting on an original drama that our associate minister wrote. Should be a pretty neat program. The great part is, all the area churches are not having a good friday service...They have indicated that they may come and be a part of it. It's a great way to reach out to the lost as well as different denominations.

God Bless.

I'll be in Dallas at LTC (Leadership Training for Christ) coaching Speech for our church. If anyone else is there, look for someone from Fairmont Park coC in the red shirts and ask for John. I'd love to meet you.

My church is having Good Friday services....sermon, drama, music. Nothing big, but not small either.

Resurrection day...Normal service, but with more people, lol

Good Friday: Going to work.

Friday night: Driving to Viburnum, MO (my wife's side of the family).

Saturday: I'd like to try to make it over to Mina Sauk Falls (http://www.mdc.mo.gov/areas/natareas/slide77.jpg) if the weather is good and if Mrs. Homie's family hasn't planned anything for the day.

Saturday night: shooting off fireworks, our Easter tradition (don't ask).

Easter Sunday morning: Going to Viburnum Christian Church.

Easter Sunday afternoon: driving home.

We will be at the Lads to Leaders Convention in Atlanta. Sounds like something similar to what's going on in Dallas. I work with Girls Speech and Debate. It's one of the most rewarding incredible things I have ever done, working with these kids:) .

in regards to church services - we won't be doing anything differently. We may have a few more visitors, and family from out of town, but in general it'll be the same Sunday service that we have every week.

As for the weekend - I apparently work for Catholics, so we end up getting off Friday, and Monday - long weekend for me  .

My mother-in-law is coming for the weekend, and we are going to paint a wall in our loft, and maybe do some other household improvements.

Good luck this weekend.

Thanks!

Hey I'm just an iron skillit kind of girl. ;)

Actually, I've learned a lot with my girls in debate. They must be prepared to argue both sides of an issue. I have learned that understanding the other side is half the battle in a discussion. That and it has given me myself a firmer grounding in my beliefs. The truth will stand up to scrutiny. I let you know how it goes. Also let me say I really enjoy your posts.

I had plans to attend Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter Sunday services at a couple different local churches (I'm still shopping for a new church home). Alas, I was sick all those days and didn't get to go. But I'm feeling better now, praise be to God, and I'll get back to my search. :amen:

On Easter I went to my Grandma's house. I ate dinner there. Then, we went over to my other Grandma's. I slept over! My cousins did too!! So, I had a wonderful day on Easter!
