Leviticus 6:21
Prepare it with oil on a griddle; bring it well-mixed and present the grain offering broken in pieces as an aroma pleasing to the Lord.

Pride and mammon are ruling strongholds of the marketplace. Brokenness is considered a weak position in the marketplace. However, God says until we are broken we cannot be an aroma pleasing to the Lord. God wants you to be an aroma in the marketplace. In order for this to happen, you and I must be a broken vessel in His hand. Pray that God would allow you to become a pleasing aroma to Him no matter the cost.

This is my opinion of being broken;.
To confess one sins in front of or to other believers. This takes away the enemy strong holds in people’s lives.

Too look inside of one self instead of looking inside others.

To ask others to reveal our hidden sins / faults.
Example: When I would do or say something that offend someone and that person tells me that I offended him. I would respond with; “I did not mean it to be taken that way, so you misunderstood me”. It was drought to my attention [in love] that I should offer and apology then explain. Because I had offended someone and weather it was misunderstood or not there was still an offences and I needed to apologies first. I was unaware that I did this and I was broken from pried.

Be willing to admit that my theology could be wrong. And act on it.

This is just some of my ideas on being broken.
Shalom

The greatest victory is getting over self preservation and pride.

well for example, it may b the loss of an unrighteous gain or a sinful way of pleasure. in this way, our old self who loves money n lust is broken, n the spirit grows without obstacle.

or G-d allows great difficulty or crisis into our life, like in the case of Job, when we lost almost everything, n then we know we have only G-d, and learn to rely on G-d, because G-d removed all our other strong holds.

Good morning,

Pleasing to God; is always putting all things before Him.

Broken: humbly bowing before God knowing that our sins is what seperates us from Him; and to recognize & lay it all down at his feet.

Thank you for this thread

To me, brokenness is when I've put down my expectations of what I think God should do with my life. Maybe I've prayed for this or that; maybe people have given me words & I've interpreted them in my own way--and sometimes I've been perplexed when things don't go the way I thought they would.

I think when I'm in the place of: Lord, let your will be done, I don't even have to understand why because I love you & know that you are good......that's the broken place, and a good place to be in.
