The Vesper's I went to tonight was a pan Orthodox Vesper's. In other word's all the Orthodox Churches in the area (Greek, Serbian, Romanian, OCA, etc) got together in one Church to have Vesper's together. Priests and parishoner's from all the Churches were there. At the end of the Vesper's, and OCA Priest gave a homily. I just have to say, it was probably one of the best homilies I have ever heard, at Church. I might need to go check out the OCA Church...

I love services like that. I've only been to one and that was a Sunday of Orthodoxy DL in 2005 at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Memphis. It was so awesome to see the unity and love as clergy from all 3 parishes concelebrated the Liturgy.

I attended Divine Liturgy yesterday for Easter Passion-tide Sunday.
I go back on Palm Sunday April 1st, then finally chrismation on April 7th for a morning service.
I can't wait to meet my bishop. :priest:

I think it depends on the priest. It just happens to be a good match for you and I am glad. I know a few G.A. who go to OCA churches. Then again I see some non-Greeks who attend GOA. I believe that one should be where they are feeling confortable. If that priest impressed you and you like his sermons I would defenately check it out. Some people also like to go to different E.O. churches for different ocasions. And, finally, I like those pan-orthodox services too. It makes you feel good inside to know others share the same faith and they are not from the same ethnic background although true brothers and sisters of one Apostolic, Catholic Church!! :)
God bless,

You weren't in Dallas last night, were you?
We had our final pan Orthodox Vespers at St. Seraphim Cathedral (OCA), and Fr. Joseph Fester gave the homily at the end.
We also said the prayer of St. Ephraim in six different languages.
TAW was well represented there - KATH and his wife, SilouanAthonite, Silouan, DavidBryan and his family, and I . . . . . and maybe others I didn't see.
