The Hogar Rafael Ayau in Guatemala which is run by Orthodox nuns has no permanent priest and they need a priest for Holy Week. I just returned from a week long missions trip there and it was the best week of my life. Everyone there is absolutely amazing and it would be a tragedy if they could not celebrate the fulness of Holy Week and commune on Pascha. There are nearly 200 children, nuns, and volunteers there who are in need of a priest. If anyone knows of any priest who is available during Holy Week and would possibly be willing to serve in Guatemala please let me know or you can visit www.hogarafaelayau.org which has contact information on it! Please ask around! Thank you all and God bless!

Have they tried calling the seminaries? They should call themselves instead of having an intermediary call, if possible, I presume, but, international phone rates being what they are, you know.

I hope they find someone, it would be sad if they cannot celebrate the Pascha Liturgy. :crosseo:

I will be glad to volunteer and be sent out to do preaching and missionary work.
But I am still catechumen ready for chrismation. I still have a long way to go.
Peace, K3

I know they have extra priests at Holy Cross. I am sure the OCMC would contact them. I cannot imagine the Monastery without a priest for Holy Week. The priest I know is already taken for Holy week.
God bless,

No offense K3, but it's a Monastery. They would teach you. I am sure they need some help though..but they are looking for a Priest...
