I was wondering if anyone here knows about Orthodox churches in New Mexico. I'm trying to find churches there. I also would be interested in hearing more about the particular parishes there. So if anyone would be willing to share more detailed information about them, that would be great. :)
Here's what I've found so far:
St. George Church
GOC
Albuquerque, NM
All Saints of North America Orthodox Church (http://www.allsaintsofnorthamerica.net/)
OCA
Albuquerque, NM
St Anthony the Great Orthodox Monastery
???
Alamogordo, NM
St. Michael's Skete (http://stmichaelsskete.org/)
OCA
Caņones, NM
Saint Dimitri Orthodox Church (http://www.stdimitri.org/)
OCA
Los Alamos, NM
St. Juliana of Lazarevo Orthodox Church (http://stjuliana.com/)
ROCOR
Santa Fe, NM
Holy Trinity Orthodox Church (http://www.holytrinitysantafe.org/)
Antiochian
Santa Fe, NM
St. Elias the Prophet Church
GOC
Santa Fe, NM
My husband and I have visited All Saints of North America in Albq. I was just one short visit and we had to leave right afterwards. But it was mostly in English and they seemed nice enough.
I really don't know about that monastery in Alamogordo. I would be especially interested in it since it's in the southern half of the state, but I fear it's not canonical or something. It has no website, is not listed on http://orthodoxyinamerica.com/ , and I'm not finding what jurisdiction it's with.
Speaking of south, there also seem to be two in El Paso (which is right on the border with New Mexico).
St. George Church
ANT
El Paso, TX
St. Nicholas Church
GOC
El Paso, TX
So, does anybody know of any other churches in New Mexico or how to search for them?

Looks like you're already ahead of us. I just go to the Diocese sites and search.

Thanks for responding :)
Yeah, I did Orthodoxy in America and also tried looking at the jurisdictional webpages listed on the SCOBA site. Tried to Google too. And that was what I found. Thought I might be missing something (though maybe that's really it). Or just hoping that one of you guys happened to know of a little mission hiding somewhere or something. :D

Hi, HungryTiger.
I don't know of any parishes to add to your list, but I just wanted to say that the OCA parishes in NM are in the Diocese of the South under Archbishop DMITRI. So I would highly recommend any of them.

I so want to Vladyka DMITRI! Unfortunately, he hasn't been to visit, since we're just a mission parish.

I'm sure he'll find his way there before too long. He has been doing several days in one area so he can visit more than one parish - since there are so many missions springing up!

I came across this post and had to say that the Priest at St. Elias is a truly incredible, humble, gentle man. He was my Priest here in Ohio...he baptized and chrismated our whole family when we converted, and we just love him and his family.
SO...being completely biased...I highly recommend his Church. :D
PS...if you do go..and you introduce yourself, please tell him Alana and Tim say hi and we miss them!
Thanks!!

Thanks for the input :)
If I do go, I'll have to try and remember and tell him for you :)
(Oh, and thanks for the PM too. I've been trying to really cut back the time I spent on CF and might have missed your response here otherwise.)

The one we visited in Albquerque incorrperated a little Spanish if I'm remembering right, like a few of the responses, but it was by far mostly English.
Many of the Catholic churches in New Mexico use a lot of Spanish. There's often two masses served on Sunday, one in English and another in Spanish. I've never been to one of the Spanish ones, but many (if not all) of the English ones I went to had at least some of the songs in Spanish.
