I have a prayer request. You 'guys' are fasting so your prayers will be strong and help.
My father was in the hospital last week, they found out it was a heart attack.
The dr. called this morning saying he was coming home, he signed the discharge papers and was sending 7 days supply of meds home.
I called at 3 and said he was using the ambulance co. to get home and make it after 5 as we were going to get groceries.
I came home and they are sending him to a nursing home, supposedly because we don't have food here (we do).
The dr. didn't even authorize it, a social worker said we (dr and I) could order him home whenever.
I called the dr. tonight and said when will he come home? I don't know, he said.
This is the home where my mother had been, she'd been neglected she had horrible bed sores and he owes them money from her stay (years ago).
I want him home now.
I have no money for legal help, but God has His prayer warriors and I need your prayers!
:groupray:
I cannot relax til this is resolved.

Your family is in my prayers..:crossrc: Have you tried PMing some of the lawyers on CF, maybe they can recommend where you could go, to get assisted legal advice? I think there is some organization, that does free legal representation for people who can afford lawyers.

Peace be with you...Pam

I am supposed to talk to the social worker on call tomorrow. I also sent a page for tomorrow morning to the dr. I don't know how they can overrule him.

It was a madhouse.:sigh: They hadn't sent him yet, but this medical supply company came and brought all this stuff, including 2 large things of oxygen, which he said had to be plugged in and runnign 24 hours a day. I said no way. Then I kept trying to call the dr. and saying we didn't want a large oygen tank here, and the answering service said I wasn't talking to the dr, and was rude.
Then I had to stop the ambulance and say maybe you should take him back. But he came in, and there were phone calls all over.
Finally it was claimed the dr. wanted the oygen, but I'm not sure what he meant. We had the company take it away (this all took 3 hours).
I have no idea what will happen now.
I should have let him go for a short stay in the nursignh ome to avoid all this hassle.
Eventually we will be facing nowehre to live but a shelter as I have no incoem and we live with my father because of that, no friends, no neighbors would help, no church.

Why don't you have an income? Have you looked into Job Service or anything?

I have been trying to find employment for years. If I got it, and worked full time, I would still not have enough to pay; child care, rent, elec., phone, clothes, bus fare, food. And forget ever going to the dr.

Do you live in a really small town where there are no jobs or something? I do understand about having trouble paying all the bills, even with a job, esp. if you're a single mom.

Maybe someone here can help you. Do you lack job skills? That's nothing to be ashamed of. MM (my DH) had a real problem with jobs for that reason until he hit the jackpot of finding an insurance gig with on the job training. Now he's a licensed insurance agent and no matter where we go, he'll have that and be able to find gainful employment.

There are programs designed to help people like you. Call your local social services office and ask what they have. Sometimes they have job training, or TANF, or things like that.

This was a lesson for me. Instead of praying and asking God what decision to make, I was adamanat about doing what I thought was best.
Now I have learned.

I hope I haven't offended you, Howard Dean. I was only trying to offer some suggestions. I obviously know nothing about your situation. Forgive me.

No, no offense at all was taken.
Something I have noticed, the EO seem to try and not offend. Another poster always says forgive me.
You guys are nice.
