Shavuot Conference
May 22-27, St. Paul, MN/Hudson, WI

Come and join us for five wonderful days of worship and learning. This gathering will be composed of three components and their respective services:Shavuot: Erev Shavuot and Shavout gatherings will be hosted by Beth Immanuel Sabbath Fellowship. As we honor this appointed time together, it will be full of the Torah, full of the Spirit, full of fellowship, and full of food! We are sure that this will be a great Mo’ed with God and with one another.

To Whom Shall We Go? Conference: Hudson, Wisconsin will be the only location that the entire, non-condensed, version of this seminar will be presented. You will be taught many new insights during these two, full days of delving into one of the most important issues of our day.

Shabbat: After an intense time of learning, we will all need a Shabbat. Friday night will include a joyous Erev Shabbat meal. In the morning we will join Beth Immanuel once again for a time of worship, fellowship and learning. After Sabbath, enjoy a special concert and witness the unveiling of the prototype of our new siddur. Be among the first to see it.
More info is on that website...

Will anyone here plan on going? goodness it sounds exciting... talk about meaty learning and fellowship... :groupray:

Too far for me - but what a wonderful opportunity. Hope they pray for Minneapolis/St. Paul while they are there!

Love to be able to go, but it's too far (and too cold) for us!

I actually live very near there. The congregation they are having it at is a breakaway of my own (though I only know few of the details of what actually transpired because it was before I attended). Anyways I will check out. Thanks!

Sorry, I hope I didn't come off derisive. Next time I will use different terminology. From what I understand Lancaster was actually a member of Kehilat Sar Shalom where I attend (www.rabbiyeshua.com (http://www.rabbiyeshua.com)), then later left to start Immanuel (www.bethimmanuel.org (http://www.bethimmanuel.org)). There was some controversy, of which now is irrelevant. I actually was planning on attending there sometime. I’ll try to make the conference. Is it true FFOZ is adheres to Two House Theology? Thanks!

My mistake. One Law Theology.

They do seem to be one law. I like them, but don't agree with that theology

Beth Immanual had a split - some of their memebers moved to an area where they were close enough to have a minyan within walking distance so they started another congregation.

You can read about it here: http://www.bethimmanuel.org/article.cgi?t=a1&a=7000
