ECCLESIASTES 3:19-20
19For that which befalleth the sons of men befalleth beasts; even one thing befalleth them: as the one dieth, so dieth the other; yea, they have all one breath; so that a man hath no preeminence above a beast: for all is vanity. 20All go unto one place; all are of the dust, and all turn to dust again.
I know, I really want the answer to be yes. But does this verse maybe indicate that animals go to heaven too?

PSALM 36:6
6Thy righteousness is like the great mountains; thy judgments are a great deep: O LORD, thou preservest man and beast.

GENESIS 1:30
30And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so.

Jack Van Impe ministries has a book offer exactly about this. I couldn't afford it, it was a few months ago, but they pretty much said on their show the answer is yes.

Scripture isn't clear on it Chris. If pets can go to heaven, I hope so cause of my dog Missy. She's my little angel. :)

All animals are God's creation, so I think they go to heaven.

They are all his creation but hopefully spiders, snakes and a few others won't join us in Heaven. :P

:amen:
Edit to add: If they do, which I think so, our poor dog Kezie's gonna have all seven of her pups greet her when she gets there. That could be both a blessing and a curse. lol

Well we do know of one type of animal that is in heaven though in slightly different form!! Horses!!! God sent a chariot with flaming horses when he picked up Elijah in the whirlwind and took him up to heaven!!! God bless ,Chris

Well, think of it this way, they won't be able to hurt us in Heaven. :)

Even the Bible says "We humans do not know."
However, while I wouldn't say that animals have souls, I would say that they have some sort of life-force or spirit (they're sentient, but not sapient).
The patagonias that the crazy lady down the street always took care of might not get into heaven, goldfish might not either, but dolphins, whales, and chimps stand a decent chance I think.
They are all his creation but hopefully spiders, snakes and a few others won't join us in Heaven.
If they do, we'll probably be able to fully percieve them in thier Edenic light as really neat little critters, not through ruby-colored glasses muddled with biological programming intended to protect us from earthly poisons.

Would it mean that since the life is in the blood, that God is actually talking about eternal life? I mean, we know trees and leafs, and grass, and bugs, and such are different than a bear, or a dog, or a cat, or a lion. Maybe that is the difference, the blood?

The sin of Adam and Eve put Mankind in condemnation in God's eyes. Would be kinda rediculous to say animals and sand are unsaved or saved. Jesus died for his children, not for that tree or Aunty sallies dog lol. So I don't think they will go to hell, but maybe they wont go to heaven either. Hard to say what God has planned for all his creation. But one thing is sure, we know what he has planned for those whom he has called and justified and glorified:clap:

the Bible is very clear on it!!!!
PSALM 36:6

in a more modern translation..
Your righteousness is like the mountains of God, your judgments like the deep ocean. You save people and animals, O LORD!!!!
animals go to heaven.. that's what othe original catholic fathers believed, it's what martin luther believed, it's what john calvin believed, and so forth :)

Animals haven't fallen, so it's simply a matter of if they have anything to go into heaven. They're definately not sapient (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sapience) (well, dolphins maybe), but many are definately sentient (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sentience).
