Hi Charlene, welcome to CF and the Baptist room. As my brother Dave said, if there is anything we can do to help in any way, please feel free to PM or call on us anytime.
May the Lord bless you and your time here on CF. And may the Lord make you a blessing to us also.

Hi Carlene!
Welcome to the site! I'm glad you found it! The site has a lot of people from all over, although many of us are from the US. The site's owner lives a few miles to your west, though, in Australia.
Welcome, and I hope you are edified in your walk with Jesus through the site.
In Him,
Dave

Hey Chris
My story goes like this
When I was 17 or 18 I was invited to youth camp by a work mate, I was looking for direction in my life at that time and agreed to go. It turned out to be a life changing week. The theme of the camp that year was 'God's will for your life' God really touched my heart and alot of things became clear for me.
After camp I threw myself into the church, they we're a fabulous new family for me. I was baptised there and my family came and supported me in that which was a blessing.
I only went to that church for a few months, I didn't feel like the things I was learning was correct, bassically it was hard for me to abandon lifelong beliefs in a flash and accept the bible as a history book.
When I left I told myself I believe in God but I didn't believe in the bible, essentially I decided to deny God, and I did that for several years, always saying some day I'll look for a new church.
At the end of last year I began to feel a pull, a need to find a church, a guilty feeling I guess. There's a friend at work who was directing me, she lent me a book "Curse or Blessing, You Can Choose" by Derek Prince, suddenly God was real to me and I couldn't deny him anylonger.
My Husband and I now go to the local Baptist Church and we both love it, I'm learning sooooo much and it's all making sence this time around, I have such a hunger to know all I can and know God intimately. I feel him in my life everyday.
It's a blessing to read Gods word and pray to him every day.
I have a feeling of faith that I never imagined.
That's it.
God Bless.
