hello to all my brothers and sisters in Jesus Christ. I'm not a Messianic Jew {I'm a Christian) I'd like to go this summer on a tour trip to Israel with a Messianic Jewish Ministry from Texas [ Levitt.com is their official website], since there are no Churches here organizing anything of such. Anyone know if Zola Levitt Ministries is legit:confused:? I just want to be coscious since they are in Texas and I'm in East Coast & we would meet in NY JFK Airport when parting to Israel.
God Bless!:)

Yes, Zola Levitt Ministries is legitimate, and very well known. :)

I disagree with their eschatological stance (pre-trib rapture), but overall they're a legitimate ministry. I liked their three part series on Channukah this last December.

Ditto!

First Fruits of Zion also is offering a study tour (http://ffoz.org/downloads/israel_tour_information/) this year in the fall. Brothers Steve and Daniel Lancaster are leading it. You might check them out too. http://ffoz.org/downloads/israel_tour_information

Sandra Levitt came to speak in my town this year in place of Zola. She's delightful. I also enjoy Dr. Jeff's programs on Zola this year.

You can watch the program on most of the Christian stations and soon on Pax.

Lest anyone accuse me of only recommending FFOZ :) Let me also mention that Jewish Voice is doing a tour this year and from what I've heard Jonathan and his wife are great hosts. http://www.jewishvoice.org/events_israel.php

Jonathan Cahn has some interesting stuff! That's a great reccommend Wags :)

Yes, Zola Levitt's ministry is legit and he's been around for a while. Actually, some folks from Dallas that moved over here for a while were from his congregation and did extensive work with his ministry. Come to think of it, I need to email them soon...

Jeff Seif is a friend of mine. He married my wife and I

He is an amazing teacher and quite entertaining. I think he should have been a comedian.

He's the Dean of Languages at CFNI in Dallas and is quite fluent in hebrew. I'm sure you will have a very educational tour.

I'd like to do either the FFOZ or the Jewish Voice tour. But what we would most love to do is go on one of Jonathan Bernis' outreach trips to Ethiopia. If he is still doing them there when Ari is finally weaned and ready to be seperated from momma for a couple of week, then Adonai willing, we will be joining him.

:sigh: When I was a teenager, every summer, the Jewish youth groups had a couple of different trips to Israel to choose from. I always wanted to go, but we could not afford it and my mother was ill so I needed to be home to help her and care for my younger sisters. But I always wanted to go.
Perhaps one day I will get there.

If you can go I think that is terrific! Do not pass up the chance!

Yes, they are a good ministry. (So sad that Zola died last year. :( )

There are a couple of things, though, that you should be careful of with them, though. They are not Torah observant. They don't believe there's anything wrong in keeping Torah if you want to, but they errantly believe that its not commanded of us any longer to keep God's laws. Also, they are most definitely pre-trib. Also, this may not be an issue for you since you'll actually be visiting there & may be able to purchase things directly from them there in Texas, but if you are ever to order from them through their online site or their catalog they are SLLLLOOOOWWWWW to ship. Snails pace. They have very nice calendars that I order every year, but I have to be sure to get my order in a good month to 6 weeks before I need my order cuz it can take that much or longer to receive the order. All in all, though, they are good people & I have enjoyed watching their programs. I also get the newsletter.

That is so cool.

They sent me his book recently - The Iranian Menace in Jewish History and Prophecy. I started reading it last night - it's wonderful! He's a terrific writer!
