I am creating this thread so that we will have a place to discuss and share the greatness of the Real Presence of our Lord. A place where we can all share our experiences, thoughts, mediations and prayer requests.

I become a blubbering fool whenever I am in His presence as Adoration. I think I become aware of how merciful he is, and how sinful I can be. I become INSTANTLY aware that I can do more for Him than I currently do.

A mediation I have found humbling during adoration is to mediate on the fact that Jesus is present in every tabernacle around the world .

I am very devoted to the Blessed Sacrament exposed but unfortunately I can not spend the time there that i use to.
The kids are out of school right now and I have a year old that comes with me to mass so I can not spend the time in the chapel that I use to which makes me sad.
Although I was able to stay for a few minutes this evening after mass which only made me realize even more how much I miss seeing him everyday.
I just do not feel as focused in prayer as I do when I am at adoration.

When we receive Holy Communion we become Living Tabernacles.
I like to watch people receive Holy Communion and realize that they are Living Tabernacles. It's so profound.

Michelle, try this as part of your daily prayer routine. Take a mental trip to your church and picture the tabernacle and the real presence. Or even better try to picture every tabernacle you have ever seen. Then just mediate on the presence of our Lord through out the whole world.

That and when they genuflect in front of the tabernacle. I agree, the reverence is overwhelming and very touching to see. Watching someone receive devoutly and reverently, I don't know but it just moves for some reason.
Does the EO have adoration the way the RCC does?
A few years back the Holy Father suggested that all parishes should have a adoration chapel. I am so fortunate that my parish has one adjacent to the church. I used to spend at least a half-hour to an hour 5 to 6 times a week but now, it’s only when the opportunity arises. I’m definitely feeling the difference in my prayer life.
I do not know how any body can live with out Jesus in the Eucharist and the adoration chapel is the most beautiful place on earth.The feelings that get when there is that the world is outside the doors and I am no longer in the world but in heaven. I can think so clearly and I feel that all of my problems are solved.
Boy I sound like an addict, huh?

I was thinking lately that I needed to do something to help me calm my thoughts down and focus. With 5 kids running around it is not that easy.
I have two icons of the BVM and I was thinking about placing them in a quite place just for prayer.
I will try your suggestion. There used to be a web site that offered a virtual adoration. They did not try to assume that Jesus was present in cyber space but they offered a mental focus with prayers and hymns and a picture of the Blessed Sacrament exposed. It was nice to visit but I can find the site, I lost it.

My dearest Michelle:
No, the Orthodox Christians do not have exposition of the Eucharist like Catholics do.
However they do have a red lamp inside their Temples which indicates that the Eucharist is present. We call our churches "Temples."
Whenever I have a chance, I like to spend time in the church praying. It's quiet with the scent of incense which creates a powerful prayerful environment.

We have the same red light by the tabernacle.
Have you ever spent time at an adoration chapel making a holy hour? If not try it, you will be so glad you did, worshipping and adoring Jesus in the Eucharist. :bow:

.
Dearest Michelle
The Eastern Catholics and The Eastern Orthodox have the custom of gathering all the icons and arranging them on an east wall of the house that is a special place in the house reserved for prayer. I also have icons in each room to remind myself to pray.
Whenever I can I do spend time in our Church where the Eucharist is reserved. It is a special time.

Godhead here in hiding, whom I do adore,
Masked by these bare shadows, shape and nothing more,
See, Lord, at thy service low lies here a heart
Lost, all lost in wonder at the God thou art.
Seeing, touching, tasting are in thee deceived:
How says trusty hearing? that shall be believed;
What God's Son has told me, take for truth I do;
Truth himself speaks truly or there's nothing true.
On the cross thy godhead made no sign to men,
Here thy very manhood steals from human ken:
Both are my confession, both are my belief,
And I pray the prayer of the dying thief.
I am not like Thomas, wounds I cannot see,
But can plainly call thee Lord and God as he;
Let me to a deeper faith daily nearer move,
Daily make me harder hope and dearer love.
O thou our reminder of Christ crucified,
Living Bread, the life of us for whom he died,
Lend this life to me then: feed and feast my mind,
There be thou the sweetness man was meant to find.
Bring the tender tale true of the Pelican;
Bathe me, Jesu Lord, in what thy bosom ran---
Blood whereof a single drop has power to win
All the world forgiveness of its world of sin.
Jesu, whom I look at shrouded here below,
I beseech thee send me what I thirst for so,
Some day to gaze on thee face to face in light
And be blest for ever with thy glory's sight. Amen.

I went to adoration for the first time today. I know, I know, I don't know why it took me so long :rolleyes: !
I went to the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception. Before I went downstairs to the crypt church (where adoration is) I was wandering around in the upper church, in and out of all the little side chapels. I was struck by how lucky we are as Catholics.
Not only do we have a church home no matter where we move or travel to, we have this incredibly rich history of beautiful art and architecture created in worship of our Lord. Of course, most importantly, we have Jesus Christ physically present in our churches, a gift which cannot be outdone.
I really can't believe how lucky I am.

Although our new church is too big and too simple for my taste, I do like how they setup the reservation chapel for the tabernacle. The reservation chapel is to the side behind the altar with two walls of frosted glass. The two panels of glass that form the corner is clear so you can see the tabernacle from the main church.
Now if we could just start perpetual adoration. :(
Instead of just first Friday of every month.

Divine Love Prayer
This prayer is said on the beads of the Rosary. A ‘Glory Be’ replaces the ‘Our Father’ and the ‘Hail Mary’ is replaced by the following prayers to Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament. There are 9 decades.
Eucharistic Heart of Jesus,
I adore You and I praise You
In union with the nine choirs of angels.
Eucharistic Heart of Jesus,
Burning with love for me,
Inflame my heart with love for You.
Eucharistic Heart of Jesus,
Thy Kingdom come.
Eucharistic Heart of Jesus,
Make me one in mind, will and heart
With You, the Father and the Holy Spirit.
Eucharistic Heart of Jesus,
Gentle and humble of heart
Make my heart like unto Thine.
Eucharistic Heart of Jesus,
Through the infinite value
Of each Holy Sacrifice of the Mass,
Offered now and until the end of time,
Have mercy on us and on the whole world.
Eucharistic Heart of Jesus,
Thank You for the personal love you have
For me in this Most Blessed Sacrament.
Eucharistic Heart of Jesus,
With all my heart I love You.
Eucharistic Heart of Jesus,
I put all my trust in You.

I have to share this- whilst at Summer Camp, I was able to spend an hour and a half in adoration each day, which was amazing... at lunchtime adoration on Monday (2nd full day at camp) I prayed to understand the Real Presence better... and I had signed up for John Pridmore's workshop on praying with the Blessed Sacrament...
However, his workshop wasn't on praying with the Blessed Sacrament. It was about the Real Presence and the power of adoration... JUST what I needed to hear to answer my prayer! How awesome is the Lord, for answering my prayer so quickly! And unexpectedly!

The Jews murmured about Jesus because he said,
"I am the bread that came down from heaven, "
and they said,
"Is this not Jesus, the son of Joseph?
Do we not know his father and mother?
Then how can he say,
‘I have come down from heaven'?"
Jesus answered and said to them,
"Stop murmuring among yourselves.
No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draw him,
and I will raise him on the last day.
It is written in the prophets:
They shall all be taught by God.
Everyone who listens to my Father and learns from him comes to me.
Not that anyone has seen the Father
except the one who is from God;
he has seen the Father.
Amen, amen, I say to you,
whoever believes has eternal life.
I am the bread of life.
Your ancestors ate the manna in the desert, but they died;
this is the bread that comes down from heaven
so that one may eat it and not die.
I am the living bread that came down from heaven;
whoever eats this bread will live forever;
and the bread that I will give is my flesh for the life
of the world."

THE CATECHISM OF THE CATHOLIC CHURCH
PART 2, SECTION 2, CHAPTER 1, ARTICLE 3, SUBSECTION 6, HEADING 2
The fruits of Holy Communion
1391 Holy Communion augments our union with Christ. The principal fruit of receiving the Eucharist in Holy Communion is an intimate union with Christ Jesus. Indeed, the Lord said: "He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood abides in me, and I in him." 226 Life in Christ has its foundation in the Eucharistic banquet: "As the living Father sent me, and I live because of the Father, so he who eats me will live because of me." 227
On the feasts of the Lord, when the faithful receive the Body of the Son, they proclaim to one another the Good News that the first fruits of life have been given, as when the angel said to Mary Magdalene, "Christ is risen!" Now too are life and resurrection conferred on whoever receives Christ. 228
1392 What material food produces in our bodily life, Holy Communion wonderfully achieves in our spiritual life. Communion with the flesh of the risen Christ, a flesh "given life and giving life through the Holy Spirit," 229 preserves, increases, and renews the life of grace received at Baptism. This growth in Christian life needs the nourishment of Eucharistic Communion, the bread for our pilgrimage until the moment of death, when it will be given to us as viaticum.
1393 Holy Communion separates us from sin. The body of Christ we receive in Holy Communion is "given up for us," and the blood we drink "shed for the many for the forgiveness of sins." For this reason the Eucharist cannot unite us to Christ without at the same time cleansing us from past sins and preserving us from future sins:
For as often as we eat this bread and drink the cup, we proclaim the death of the Lord. If we proclaim the Lord's death, we proclaim the forgiveness of sins. If, as often as his blood is poured out, it is poured for the forgiveness of sins, I should always receive it, so that it may always forgive my sins. Because I always sin, I should always have a remedy. 230
1394 As bodily nourishment restores lost strength, so the Eucharist strengthens our charity, which tends to be weakened in daily life; and this living charity wipes away venial sins. 231 By giving himself to us Christ revives our love and enables us to break our disordered attachments to creatures and root ourselves in him:
Since Christ died for us out of love, when we celebrate the memorial of his death at the moment of sacrifice we ask that love may be granted to us by the coming of the Holy Spirit. We humbly pray that in the strength of this love by which Christ willed to die for us, we, by receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit, may be able to consider the world as crucified for us, and to be ourselves as crucified to the world.... Having received the gift of love, let us die to sin and live for God. 232
1395 By the same charity that it enkindles in us, the Eucharist preserves us from future mortal sins. The more we share the life of Christ and progress in his friendship, the more difficult it is to break away from him by mortal sin. The Eucharist is not ordered to the forgiveness of mortal sins - that is proper to the sacrament of Reconciliation. The Eucharist is properly the sacrament of those who are in full communion with the Church.
1396 The unity of the Mystical Body: the Eucharist makes the Church. Those who receive the Eucharist are united more closely to Christ. Through it Christ unites them to all the faithful in one body - the Church. Communion renews, strengthens, and deepens this incorporation into the Church, already achieved by Baptism. In Baptism we have been called to form but one body. 233 The Eucharist fulfills this call: "The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not a participation in the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not a participation in the body of Christ? Because there is one bread, we who are many are one body, for we all partake of the one bread:" 234
If you are the body and members of Christ, then it is your sacrament that is placed on the table of the Lord; it is your sacrament that you receive. To that which you are you respond "Amen" ("yes, it is true!") and by responding to it you assent to it. For you hear the words, "the Body of Christ" and respond "Amen." Be then a member of the Body of Christ that your Amen may be true. 235
1397 The Eucharist commits us to the poor. To receive in truth the Body and Blood of Christ given up for us, we must recognize Christ in the poorest, his brethren:
You have tasted the Blood of the Lord, yet you do not recognize your brother,. . . . You dishonor this table when you do not judge worthy of sharing your food someone judged worthy to take part in this meal. . . . God freed you from all your sins and invited you here, but you have not become more merciful. 236

I love the concept of praying for a Spiritual Communion
My Jesus, I believe, that Thou art truly present in the Most Blessed Sacrament. I love Thee above all things, and I desire to possess Thee within my soul. Since I am unable now to receive Thee sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace Thee as being already there, and unite myself wholly to Thee; never permit me to be separated from Thee

"This food we call the Eucharist, of which no one is allowed to partake except one who believes that the things we teach are true, and has received the washing for forgiveness of sins and for rebirth, and who lives as Christ handed down to us. For we do not receive these things as common bread or common drink, but as Jesus Christ our Savior being incarnate by God's Word took flesh and blood for our salvation, so also we have been taught that the food consecrated by the Word of prayer which comes from him, from which our flesh and blood are nourished by transformation, is the flesh and blood of that incarnate Jesus." Visits to the Most Blessed Sacrament by Saint Alphonsus (http://praiseofglory.com/redemptorist/visits.htm)
TWENTY-SEVENTH VISIT
The Holy Church sings in the Office of the Most Blessed Sacrament 'There is no other country, however great, whose gods are near as our God is near to us." When the Gentiles heard how far our God carried His works of love, they exclaimed: Oh, how good a God is this God of the Christians! And, indeed, although the Gentiles imagined their gods according to their own caprices-yet, if you read history, you will never find in all their fables, and among the many gods they invented, that they went so far as even to imagine a god so enamored of men as is our true God, Who, to show His love for His adorers, and to enrich them with graces, has worked such a prodigy of love as to become their constant companion, and to remain night and day concealed on their altars, seeming as if He knew not how to separate Himself from them, even for a moment: He has made His wondrous works to be remembered. (Ps. 110, 4.)
Thou, then, my most sweet Jesus, has been pleased to work the greatest of Thy miracles in order to satisfy the excessive desire which Thou hast to remain always near and present to us. Why, then, do men fly from Thy presence? And how can they live for so long a time at a distance from Thee, or visit Thee so seldom? How is it that when in Thy presence they get so weary that a quarter of an hour appears an age? Oh, patience of my Jesus, how great art Thou! Yes, my Lord, I understand Thee; Thy patience is great, because the love Thou bearest to men is great: and this it is which, so to say, forces Thee to dwell always in the midst of creatures so ungrateful.
Ah, my God, Who because Thou art infinite in perfections art also infinite in love, permit not that I should for the future be, as I have hitherto been, of the number of these ungrateful ones. Grant me a love equal to Thy merits and to my own obligations. At one time I also was weary in Thy presence, either because I loved Thee not, or because I loved Thee too little; but if by Thy grace I am enabled to love Thee much, I shall no longer find it tedious to remain even for whole days and nights at Thy feet in the Most Holy Sacramen. 0 Eternal Father, I offer Thee Thine own Son Himself: accept Him for me, and through His merits give me so ardent and tender a love towards the Most Blessed Sacrament that, constantly turning towards some church in which Jesus dwells, I may think of, and desire with longing anxiety, the time when I may be able to go and enjoy myself in His presence.
Ejaculation. My God, for the love of Jesus, give me a great love for the Most Blessed Sacrament!

In my journey towards Catholicism, while I was yet not ready to accept it, while I was still struggling with Mary and the Saints, the Rosary, and other issues regaridng the Catholic faith, I found out about adoration from a friend, found out there was a perpetual adoration chapel very close to where we live, and was able to stop by late at night.
Even though at that point I still may have considered myself to some degree a Protestant, I was drawn to do so almost everytime I passed through there late at night, when I had the time, without other obligations, to spend time in our Lord's presence in this special way . . . .
I know now that this practice helped me in a very special way to bring me to my point of conversion.
If there is someone who is interested in the Catholic faith, please do not underestimate the power of the Grace of God given to those who spend time in His presence in this special way, whether exposed as the Catholics do, or reposed as our Eatern Orthodox brethren practice. Invite them to come and just spend time in prayer there with you, or by themselves.

Begin with an
Our Father,
Hail Mary
and Glory Be
for the intentions of the Holy Father.
Next, using a rosary, pray the following on the Our Father beads:
"Lord Jesus, I offer You my sorrow for the many sacrileges committed against You and the indifference shown You in the Holy Sacrament of the Altar."
Then on the Hail Mary beads pray:
"Jesus, I adore You in the most Blessed Sacrament."
At the end of the rosary conclude with this prayer:
"Holy Mother Mary, please present this prayer to your son, Jesus,
and bring consolation to His Sacred Heart. Please give Him my thanks
for His divine presence in the Blessed Sacrament. He has treated us
with mercy and love by staying with us. May my life be my
thanksgiving prayer to Him. Jesus, I trust in You. Amen."

ON SOLEMNITY OF IMMACULATE CONCEPTION
Pope Reflects on Mary's Aid in Struggle Against Sin
VATICAN CITY, DEC. 8, 2003 (Zenit.org).- Here is a translation of the address John Paul II gave today, the solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of Mary, before praying the Angelus with thousands of pilgrims gathered in St. Peter's Square.
* * *
1. "Tota pulchra es Maria" -- You are all beautiful, O Mary!
Today the Church celebrates the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary. If Christ is the day that knows no setting, Mary is the radiant dawn of beauty.
Chosen to be the Mother of the Word Incarnate, Mary is at the same time first in his redemptive work. The grace of Christ the Redeemer acted in her in an anticipated manner, preserving her from original sin and from all fault.
2. Because of this, Mary is "full of grace" (Luke 1:28), as the Angel affirmed when he brought to her the announcement of her divine maternity. The human mind cannot attempt to understand such a great prodigy and mystery. It is faith that reveals that the Immaculate Conception of the Virgin is the pledge of salvation for every human being, pilgrim on earth. It is also faith that reminds us that, in the strength of her most singular condition, Mary is our unbreakable support in the hard struggle against sin and its consequences.
3. In keeping with a beautiful tradition, this afternoon I will go to Piazza di Spagna, and so render homage to the Immaculate Virgin. Blessed Pope Pius IX had her effigy placed at the top of a column in perpetual memory of the dogma of the Immaculate Conception, proclaimed on Dec. 8, 1854. With today's pilgrimage, therefore, we enter in the 150th anniversary of that solemn act of the magisterium of the Church.
As of now I invite you to join me in invoking the intercession of Mary Immaculate for the Church, for the city of Rome, and for the whole world.

POPE'S PRAYER TO MARY FOR WORLD PEACE
At Piazza di Spagna in Rome
ROME, DEC. 8, 2003 (Zenit.org).- Here is a translation of John Paul II's prayer to Mary for peace in the world, which he recited at Piazza di Spagna in the evening, on the solemnity of her Immaculate Conception.
* * *
1. Queen of Peace, pray for us!
On the feast of your Immaculate Conception,
I come to venerate you, O Mary,
at the foot of this effigy, which from Piazza di Spagna
allows your maternal gaze to extend over this ancient, and for me very dear, city of Rome.
I have come here, this evening, to render you the homage of my sincere devotion.
It is a gesture in which I am joined in this Piazza by innumerable Romans, whose affection has always accompanied me in all the years of my service to the See of Peter. I am here with them to start on the path toward the one hundred fiftieth anniversary of the dogma that we celebrate today with filial joy.
2. Queen of Peace, pray for us!
We turn our gaze to you with intense trepidation,
we take recourse to you with insistent trust
in these times marked by not a few uncertainties and fears
over the present and future fate of our planet.
To you, the first of humanity redeemed by Christ,
finally liberated from the slavery of evil and sin,
we raise a heartfelt and confident supplication:
Listen to the cry of pain of the victims of war
and of so many forms of violence
that bloody the earth.
Dispel the darkness of sadness and solitude,
of hatred and vengeance,
Open the minds and hearts of all to trust and forgiveness!
3. Queen of Peace, pray for us!
Mother of mercy and of hope,
obtain for the men and women of the third millennium
the precious gift of peace:
peace in hearts and in families,
in communities and among peoples;
peace especially for those nations
where every day combating and dying continue.
Help every human being, and all races and cultures,
to encounter and accept Jesus,
who came on earth in the mystery of Christmas
to give us "his" peace.
Mary, Queen of Peace,
give us Christ, true peace of the world!

38 Then he said to them, "My soul is sorrowful even to death. 24 (http://www.usccb.org/nab/bible/matthew/matthew26.htm#foot24) Remain here and keep watch with me." 39 He advanced a little and fell prostrate in prayer, saying, "My Father, 25 (http://www.usccb.org/nab/bible/matthew/matthew26.htm#foot25) if it is possible, let this cup pass from me; yet, not as I will, but as you will." 40 When he returned to his disciples he found them asleep. He said to Peter, "So you could not keep watch with me for one hour? 41 Watch and pray that you may not undergo the test. 26 (http://www.usccb.org/nab/bible/matthew/matthew26.htm#foot26) The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak."

I just do not feel as focused in prayer as I do when I am at adoration.
There is a Real difference at Exposition. Jesus is just as present in the tabernacle, but there is a palpable heightening of my perception of His Presence at Exposition.
I don't believe this is merely psychological but is actually objectively real. It may be an 'actual grace', I think.

I'm not sure if this is exactly what you're looking for, but I love just sitting with Him at adoration.
I often just pray about whatever comes to mind. I tend to go between prayers for myself & others, theological thoughts, other thoughts, and listening. Thoughts like: the Lord who died on Calvary is here with me now; it's amazing that He once took human form, and that He continues to subject Himself to our humanity through the sacrament of the Eucharist. He could remain in heaven - the right place for a King, but instead he chooses to come to earth. Not only that, but we are able to receive Him, and He comes to us. The Lord of the universe comes to ME.
It sounds like complete craziness, except for the fact that it's real, that He is real ... and He is in that gold monstrance on the freshly incensed altar.

But I am drawn to our Lord's Presence because I know I must humble myself before the Lord and honor his sacrifice and humility. To me there is no question it simply a fact that my Lord is there waiting for each and every one of us to join him in peace.

It sounds like complete craziness, except for the fact that it's real, that He is real ... and He is in that gold monstrance on the freshly incensed altar.
yes, he is a good listener and very patient. he can sit and listen to you for hours on end without losing interest. I like to just sit and listen too.
in fact the first word of my order is: Ausculta! - Listen.

Words of our Lord to St. Matilda
"At the moment of Consecration I come down first in such deep humility that there is no one at Mass, no matter how despicable and vile he may be, towards whom I do not humbly incline and approach, if he desires Me to do so and prays for it;
Secondly, I come down with such great patience that I suffer even My greatest enemies to be present and grant them the full pardon of all their sins, if they wish to be reconciled with Me;
Thirdly, I come with such immense love that no one of those present can be so hardened that I do not soften his heart and enkindle it with My love, if he wishes Me to do so;
Fourthly, I come with such inconceivable liberality that none of those present can be so poor that I would not enrich him abundantly;
Fifthly, I come with such sweet food that no one ever so hungry should not be refreshed and fully satiated by Me;
Sixthly, I come with such great light and splendor that no heart, how blinded soever it may be, will not be enlightened and purified by My presence;
Seventhly, I come with such great sanctity and treasures of grace that no one, however inert and indevout he may be, should not be roused from this state."

so as to unite Himself to us,
and to make His heart and ours as one: 'He that eats My Flesh and drinks My Blood,
abides in Me and I in him.'
O wonder! O excess of divine love!
It was said by a servant of God, if anything could shake my faith in the Eucharist,
it would not be the doubt as to how the bread could become flesh,
or how Jesus could be in several places and confined in so small a space,
because I would answer that God can do everything;
but if I were asked how He could love men so much as to make Himself their food,
I have nothing else to answer
but that this is a mystery of faith above my comprehension,
and that the love of Jesus cannot be understood.
O love of Jesus, make Yourself known to men and make Yourself loved!"

Lord Jesus, you are there in the Holy Eucharist. You are there a yard away in the tabernacle...How close you are, my God, my Saviour, my Jesus, my Brother, my Spouse, my Beloved.
You were not nearer to the Blessed Virgin during the 9 months she carried you in her womb than you are to me when you come to me in Holy Communion.
You were not closer to the Blessed Virgin and St Joseph in the caves of Bethlehem or the house at Nazareth or during the flight into Egypt, or at any moment of that divine family life than you are to me at this moment..in the tabernacle.
St Mary Magdalene was no closer to you when she sat at your feet at Bethany than I am here at the foot of this altar.
You were no nearer to your apostles when you were sitting in the midst of them than you are to me now, my God.

"Let those, then, who are singularly active, who think they can win the
world with their preaching and exterior works, observe here that they would
profit the Church and please God much more, not to mention the good example
they would give, were they to spend at least half of this time with God in
prayer, even though they might not have reached a prayer as sublime as this.
They would then certainly accomplish more, and with less labor, by one work
than they otherwise would by a thousand. For through their prayer they would
merit this result, and themselves be spiritually strengthened. Without
prayer they would do a great deal of hammering but accomplish little, and
sometimes nothing, and even at times cause harm."

I just returned from Adoration of our Lord Jesus.
I owe it to Aaron as his persistence in telling other people to go is what gave me the nudge I needed. :holy:
I was suprised as the moment I walked into the chapel I saw my pastor there!
I guess I should not have been suprised, but at first glance, it seems to me that a man as holy as him shouldn't have to spend time in adoration - right? well after sitting in adoration I was of course reminded that he is holy precisely because he sits in adoration. This particular priest is a model for all Priests IMO - I can hardly talk right when I am around him... for some reason his presence makes me giddy. I think it is his rock solid grasp of his vocation and Catholicity that get me every time. Anyway, in the chapel I picked up a short prayer book with excerpts from St. Faustina in it regarding the Blessed Sacrament. I had no idea how incredible this womans experience with our Lord was! I am going to purchase a copy of this book - I cannot remember what its called at the moment but I will find out on Sunday so I can buy it.
All in all, it was a great time spent with Jesus, who reminded me of my need to be humble and seek Him first in all things.
Keep up your good work Aaron! :priest:

Our Father
THY WILL BE DONE
A Meditation by St. Peter Julian Eymard
Our Father Who are in Heaven
in the heaven of the Eucharist,
to You Who are seated on the throne of grace and love,
be benediction, and honor, and power and glory
for ever and ever!
Hallowed be Your Name
first in ourselves, through the spirit of
Your humility, obedience, and charity.
May we in all humility and zeal
make You known, loved, and adored by all men
in the Holy Eucharist,
Thy Kingdom Come
Thy Eucharistic kingdom.
Rule Thou alone forever over us
for Your greater glory
through the power of Your love,
the triumph of Your virtues,
and the grace of a Eucharistic vocation
in my state as a layman.
Grant us the grace and mission of Your holy love
so that we may be able to effectively extend
Your Eucharistic kingdom everywhere
and realize the desire you expressed:
‘I have come to cast fire on the earth;
and what would I, but that it be kindled?’
Oh! that we might be the incendiaries of this heavenly fire!
Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven
Grant us the grace to find all our joy
in wanting You alone,
in desiring You alone,
and in thinking of You alone.
Grant that by denying of ourselves always
and in all things,
we may find light and life
in obeying Your good, acceptable and perfect Will.
I will what You will.
I will it because You will it.
I will it as You will it.
I will it as long as You will it.
Perish our thoughts and desires
if they are not purely from You, for You and in You.
Give us this day our daily bread
You are our Eucharistic Lord
and You alone will be our food and clothing,
our riches and glory,
our remedy in illness,
and our protection against all evil.
You will be all things to us.
And forgive us our trespasses
Forgive me Jesus, for I am sorry for all my sins
justas they stand in your eyes.
As we forgive those who trespass against us
For anyone who has offended us in any way,
with our whole heart we forgive them
and desire for them the gifts of Your love.
And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil
Deliver us Jesus, from the demon of pride,
impurity, discord and complacency.
Deliver us from the cares and worries of life
so that with a pure heart and a free mind
we may joyfully spend our life
and devote all that we are and all that we have
in the service of our Eucharistic Lord.
Amen.
In You, O Lord Jesus, have I hoped;
let me not be confounded forever.
You alone are good.
You alone are powerful.
You alone are eternal.
To You alone be honor and glory,
love and thanksgiving forever and ever.
Peace in Him!

How does Our Lord dwell in the Eucharist?
In an invisible manner, hidden under the species of bread. He accommodates Himself to our weakness. In heaven, when we will be triumphant and glorious, we shall see Him in His glory. If He showed Himself now before us with this glory, we would not dare to approach Him, but He hides Himself as someone in prison and says to us: You do not see Me, but this does not matter: ask Me all that you wish, I will give it to you.
Oh! if we had the faith . . . if we were really persuaded of the Real Presence of Him who thus hides Himself out of love, and who is there, His hands full of graces, longing to distribute them, with what reverence we would come before Him, with what confidence we should invoke Him.

Thank you Great High Priest for your holy priests, for they bring us the Eucharist.
2. The priest is the foster-father of souls and the mainstay of religion.
When the bell calls you to church, if someone asked you: “Where are you going?” you could answer: “I am going to feed my soul.” If one asked you, pointing to the tabernacle: “What is that golden door?” “It is the larder, it is the storehouse of my soul.” Who is it who has the key of it, who provides the food, who prepares the feast, who serves at table? The priest. And the food? It is the precious Body and Blood of Our Lord. O my God! my God! How you have loved us!
The priest is for us as a mother, as a nurse for an infant of a few months. She gives him his food, he has only to open his mouth. The mother says to her infant: “Take my little one, eat.” The priest says to us: “Take and eat, this is the Body of Jesus Christ, may He keep you and bring you to eternal life.” O beautiful words! A child when it sees its mother come towards it struggles against those who hold it. It opens its little mouth, and stretches out its little hands to embrace her. Your soul in the presence of the priest goes naturally towards Him. It runs to meet Him, but it is prevented by the bonds of the body among men who give all to the senses, who live only for the mortal body.
