View Full Version : Apologies

I want to apologize to everyone for my behavior on this forum for the last 3-4 months. I have been mean, small, vindictive and argumentative. Things have been very stressfull with me but that is no excuse. I'll try and curb my vicious tongue but will probably still have a hard time doing so. Pray for me and my bitterness.

Life is not easy, and yours sure hasn't been as of late. You are human, as are the rest of us.

I feel blessed that we are here to help you during these difficult days.

May God grant you peace of heart, mind, and soul, that only He can give.

Dearest Jesus, please bless our dear one, Rad, as he comes to us, and You to ask for forgiveness. Only because of what You have done for us can any of us come to You. Give Rad strength for each day, and a hope in Your Salvation. Help him know how much he is loved.

Grant us all forgiveness where we may have hurt our brothers and sisters in Christ.

In Your Precious Name we pray, Amen. :groupray:

May the Lord, who is gracious and merciful, and abounding in steadfast love, pardon you and forgive you.

I think we all realize your personal situation is not the best and may have had an effect on your temperament.

I forgive you. :) Sometimes when we're hurting, we tend to want to hurt back.

Brother,

I was not aware that you had anything to apologize for.

Go in peace,

Radidio,

We may not always see eye to eye on some things, but I ALWAYS enjoy reading your wisdom and insight you bring into discussions. :)

And just to encourage you, this "season" of trial shall pass and days of refreshing will come. :)

:hug:Emotional pain affects us all differently, but it is something we all can relate to unfortunately. Don't let another's mistreatment of you harden your heart.
Trust in the one true and greatest love of all. He will never fail you and no one will ever love you more.

Ephesians 4:25-32
Therefore, having put away falsehood, let each one of you speak the truth with his neighbor, for we are members one of another.Be angry and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, and give no opportunity to the devil. Let the thief no longer steal, but rather let him labor, doing honest work with his own hands, so that he may have something to share with anyone in need. Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear. And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.

I read your profile and web page: you are going through A LOT right now. If it's getting to you a bit -- you're human.

A divorce is a HUGE life event. (I know: I'm not telling you something you didn't already know!) Just know that we're all here to support you. Let us help you when you need it: that's what Christians are supposed to do for each other.

I don't really see what you have to apologize for...but ok...

For a Person under Affliction.

O MERCIFUL God, and heavenly Father, who hast taught us in thy holy Word that thou dost not willingly afflict or grieve the children of men; Look with pity, we beseech thee, upon the sorrows of thy servant for whom our prayers are offered. Remember him, O Lord, in mercy; endue his soul with patience; comfort him with a sense of thy goodness; lift up thy countenance upon him, and give him peace; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

I don't recall anything that would qualify for such forgiveness, from us that is. However, I seem to remember an alcohol induced bit of prose that was posted here...

You have been in my prayers every day since I first logged into these forums. I'll keep you (and several other people here) before the Lord. 'for whatever two or more of you ask for will be given unto you'.

Divorce is a rotten solution to a worse situation. My heart goes out to you.

Our Lord's blessings to you, Rad.

Divorces are very hard. Mine was very low conflict but very hard nonetheless.

I do envy your cabin in the woods though. Must be a great place.

Well, it was funny, Rad. I just hope you didn't really send it to her.

JCJ, were you speaking to me? My 'cabin' is a double-wide mobile home. The house is comfortable and is in the woods. If the driveway weren't such a problem, the place would be really nice. Actually, having a four-wheel-drive would help considerably. Don't be envious though. The well goes dry every summer, and it's really expensive to live here.

Yes, Radidio, you are most fortunate to have God's beauty of the wilderness surrounding you full time. If not for my family's cabin in the mountains of New Mexico, I might go batty.
I will most likely be heading there to get some quiet, alone time very soon to reflect on some of my own issues and just read my Bible in peace. The dial-up connections makes it easy to keep from being online the entire time.

Studeclunker, I would suggest west Texas, but we've had our share of snow this year and even saw some on the ground this morning out past the lake. Of course, with our large watershed, we have no dry well issues. That must be terribly annoying.

I was born in Big Spring TX and I'm not sure what you see in west Texas. Allways reminded me of ground zero at a testing site.

Are you kidding me? I can be in the middle nowhere in a matter of minutes, thanks be to God. We have the #1 bass fishing lake in the world here, an award winning golf course, Mexico (the safe part) within a short drive and the 10th largest city in the US within 2.5 hours should we need to get some proper culturizin'.

It is so "awful" that it's growing by leaps and bounds, which is both good and bad. I do profit nicely from the growth, but we now have to wait to get into the best restaurants in Mexico, which is frustrating. Our little oasis has been discovered, I'm afraid.

I agree with you about Big Spring, BTW. I never like driving through there heading north and my ex is from there, too! He went to tech, so I should have known better.

One of the most awesome sites, and I think it was on Hwy 60 in western NM, was an array of SETI dish antenas. They were huge. I guess there were SETI. It was an erie experience. The sun was low in the sky and the array was lite up and glowing and the mountains were golden with a dark sky behind. I drove right next to one and I felt dwarfed.

You mean the Very Lagre Array (VLA) used in the movie "Contact"? There's one in west Texas as well.

Very Large Array (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Very_Large_Array)

We happened upon that as well driving from the Meteor Crater and Petrified Forest to the cabin in NM...see below...it had been snowing all through the southwest, which made our drive a bit more interesting than planned!

Yup! I have the ol dry hole! LOL!

I don't have any pictures of my house, but since Rad is doing show and tell, it's my turn. This is the view out my front door:
http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b18/Studeclunker/landscapes/viewvalley1.jpg
This was taken two years ago in August. That bare spot on the ridge opposite side of the valley is some of the damage from when the BLM tried to burn the town down five years ago.

This is a view of my driveway and one of the Studeclunkers, namely my '62 Champ.
http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b18/Studeclunker/december%2006/HPIM0233.jpg

I like Jim's driveway though. Mine was designed by a local contractor, one Lucifer Metastophelies. By the by, that tree on the right rear corner of the truck? Kept my house warm all of January. That and a little oak. The base of the tree is fifteen feet below the level of the driveway, at least. You can't really see it in the picture, but I have to chock the wheels of the truck when parking on the drive. Otherwise it slides.

It depends on where your heart is. If your heart is out in the country you sometimes you have to build hopes to get there. I've seen so many people that have planned their whole life just for that "moment". I planed mine and I have no regrets. Since my life mate left me it gets lonely sometimes but there is so much to do here that I find solace in the simple things. Cutting acres of grass, chopping wood, volunteer work, keeping the driveway up so I can get in and out and most of all standing on the porch and watching the deer and lightning bugs at dusk. The yipping of the coyotes and the male turkry strutting in front of the hens at mating time. hmmm...........

Sounds really nice Rad. I've always dreamed about living in a place like that. My whole family longs to live in the north woods, but since we have to work for a living the corn fields will do. It certianly beats concrete and asphault.. I know some folks love gthe big cities and thats fine but I've always had that call to nature.

When I get my own computer back from the repair shop I can post some pics of Quebec when I was there Nov 2005. Simply breath taking :)
