Prayers of Intercession

I've been asked by my Chaplain to lead the prayers of intercession at my service... later today. I've managed to prepare one, but one thing which struck me was the sheer amount of resources available in the forms of templates!

Anyone else had experience writing these types of prayers for use in service? Got any favourite books?

My usual form is to pray for the church family, the local area, national stuff, and the world.
