At our mission this morning we had a member chrismated into the Church and four people were made catechumens and prayers and blessings were said over them. My wife (St. Margaret of Antioch) and myself (St. Patrick of Ireland) were among them.

Please remember us in your prayers and in your thoughts. We have had a dynamic Inquirer class that is growing almost every week and our attendance for today's Liturgy was strong for our misison.

I also learned a lesson in humility when I asked Father Cyprian about Fr. Rose's tollhouse theory and after he carefully answered the question he looked me right in the eyes and said "This is not a matter that concerns your salvation and is not a dogmatic issue. Put it out of your mind for now and concentrate on living the Way and later we can discuss it if you wish."

I know I have so many questions about the faith but there is nothing more important than actually living an Orthodox life. I am reading "The Orthodox Way" right now to help in that regard and through your prayers and Blessed St. Patrick's prayers I hope to do so.

The smile that crossed my face when I was blessed does not do justice to the joy that was in my heart. :clap:

That is what I like about Orthodox Priests.
They are not wimpy.

Many prayers for you both...and, exactly...It's your heart and mind that you ned be concerned about, not tollhouses, or heresies, or anything other than what YOU can do, as a family, to grow closer to God.

That's wonderful Patrick! How exciting for both you and your wife! You will be in my thoughts and prayers.
I had the privilege of attending the priestly ordination of a friend today, that too was awesome, but alas, this thread is about your special day, forgive me.
In Xp,

The words and wisdom of an Orthodox priest! :D

If they have something to say that you need to here, they will say it.

Congratulations!:clap::clap::thumbsup:

Thank you all for your prayers. I must say that I had to laugh when Fr. Cyprian said it to me. He said it in a firm but loving manner. He is one of those old school Russian priests that wants to make sure catechumens get the basics down pat before they start wondering about esoteric non-dogmatic issues.
